it's been 11 years since I've been in school. now I have orientation this morning and I predict that I'm gonna be the old, creepy guy. I hope I didn't forget how to use a text book.

Good luck mate............i went back to school when i was older and was not happy at being classed as a 'mature student'.........I was every bit as immature as my younger classmates, in fact, quite a bad influence on them...........yes, there are many fresh young minds to corrupt..........but thats probably the attitude of an old creepy guy.

Welcome to the world of the non-traditional student.
Shit I graduated High School back in 2000 and just got my Associates. I'm going to go for my "4 year" degree too, mostly because I don't feel like doing shit else...so yeah.

Welcome to the world of the non-traditional student.I hit real life running 11 years ago, now I have to look back and try to remember shit. is there a support group for non-traditional students? if so, I'm gonna go turn them all into a bunch of drunks. YEEE-HAAAA!

Same here, I floated around for a while, working, not working, and in the end wound up back in school constantly thinking about how I would have graduated from college a year ago had I implemented my plan after high school. Everything happens for a reason they say.

No support group, the company is better though.

i def. wish you the best. i've only been out for 5 years and just went back last month. it's a shock that's for sure. but it's surprising how fast you fall back into it.

Hey Billy. What are you majoring in?
I was on and off with school for a few years (working as a "janitorial supervisor" at a movie theater) until I decided I was gonna go back full time in the Fall of 2003 and get my Bachelors. I was 26 when I graduated. Whatever a better job is worth all the bullshit.

i straight up couldnt handle going back to school. i got expelled from public school 4 days into year 11 and then dropped out of tafe college in year 12 cause i just couldnt focus my attention. that was over ten years ago now, i couldnt imagine going back to that.
