...Under Armour performance apparel? An amazing blend of lycra and spandex, creating a microfiber that wicks moisture off my sweaty balls? This stuff is great, cotton is the enemy.

If magic missle = performance sapping heat and humidity you're not alone brother.

I've read where they are doin clothes like under armour for the military that are more flame resistant, but I wonder if it will have the same qualities of the good shit.

not sure...the latest new thing i've read about people bein issued goin over is the cooling system that goes under the iba...ventilation with a motorized fan that sits on someone's hip or above your ass in a fanny pack....kinda a cool deal, would imagine that something along the way is going ot tie that thing into the interceptor's altogether now that would be the shit....

Until it gets shot or hit with shrapnel, then your gonna have regrigerant gettin into your blood and shit, I'm sure that cant be good. When I was over there they had the suits the gunner wear with a cooling systme in it, but in the hotter times it isnt worth a shit from what I've been told. Only the MP's had it where I was. And it look very hard to move aroun in as well.

oh yeah...i can only imagine what kinda posioning stories people would be hollerin. and hell with as many heat cats and fat bastards as we've got in my own company, i'm sure they'll be dying for somethin like that...aw well...you'd think that they might want to invent some kind of fan system or vents/blower unit for the gunners hatch perhaps...those 1114's cant take much more weight though, albeit they are underrated as far as payload capacity (and thats comin straight from a dude at tacom i had a class with) aw well...but i agree...those vent vests with the iba=mroe weight, more cumbersome....might not be worth the effort imho

Underarmor is really good shit, not only for high heat, but they make a whole line of long sleeved winter shit too.

I spent probably a couple hundred dollars on t-shirts and winter shirts when I was deployed. Great investment.

We had those ice pack vest things that you wore under your IBA, they were cold as shit for about an hour or so, then once the shit melted your top was soakin wet until it dried out. Then you had the extra weight from the ice packs in there weighin ya down, so it was more of a pain in the ass than helpful.

Did you buy the "Tactical" gear? Does it differ any from the regular shit, or is it just an advertising thing?

Great stuff, but Champion makes a version called C9 that you buy at Target. It's loads cheaper and is basicly the same stuff. I'm talking underwear here, you know, it helps prevent rashes and stuff.

I tried the long sleeve set-up for some winter training. Fucking A it was top notch. Now, if I could round up the green backs for some of the "heat gear", I'd be set. My work area has been ranging from 98-105 degrees and 90-100% humidity, and that's when it's only high 80s outside.

I dunno I had to pull guard duty with some nasty fuck who had the worst BO ever, sittin in a guard shack in hot as weather wasnt to fun, if you stay in a tent with numerous people, its gonna stick regardless of what yo do though, just get used to the smell of ass, feet and potato chips...as my buddy would say..i dont know where he gets the potato chips at but oh well

I haven't noticed any other difference other than the colors.
