i got a new job no more $6.00 security watchin cows for me!
now $10.00 dispatching trains 5pm to 1am im so fricken excited
it brings to mind Suicidal Tendancies (sp) You Cant Bring Me Down!

Get one of those $30 Real Estate tapes on Sunday Morning and have a net worth of millions in just 6 months. Of course actual results NEVER match advertised fake results.

If you can live better than a city dweller making $35/hr, who cares. Enjoy your job and try to learn from it. It sounds interesting. And that's just as important as adjusted wages per location. The highest level of fulfillment is doing what you like to do: self actualization, from Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.

Some of the best careers start out low, because Managers think they own you if they give you a significant raise; and they can't start EVERYONE out high. Where as if you negotiate high wages coming in, they will screw you every chance they get. Enthusiasm, interest, and integrity are 95% of any job. You'll do good. And then give Johnny Reb a job. He's pretty funny.
