AirSoft?

AirSoft (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airsoft) - Like paintball but not as messy. Cheap and fun? It doesn't HAVE to be cheap but it CAN be cheap. :wink:
I have catalog's with guns as cheap as $30 (or as much as $300) and ammo is cheap too.
AirSoft Atlanta (http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/) looks to be HUGE if in metro Atlanta to go look in person.
Cheaper Than Dirt! (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/) has stuff from $30 to way more than that.
The Sportsman's Guide (http://shop.sportsmansguide.com/) has some stuff too.

Anyone already into this? I liked paintball OK but AirSoft seems a lot cheaper,easier, and faster to start or stop - thus potentially more fun (depending on where and who you are playing with I guess).

haha, its fun for a minute. my friend has a bunch of the good guns, like the shotgun, ak, 9mm, etc. i have scars on my arm from being drunk and shooting it point blank at each other. we did have some fun wars in the backyard while drunk though, i was the only one smart enough to wear glasses hahahahahaha. i shot my friend in the back of the head from about 2 feet while chasing him...

I got a bad as AK for my son - it's pretty fun, but it shoots so damn fast we're always reloading it. He likes the laser beam sights and the flash light for night hunts when we're four wheelin haha - pretty fun stuff.

I got a glock 9mm and M-16. Its cheaper than paintball, and the guns are more realistic. Good way to kill an afternoon

I have a Tokyo Mauri MP5 SD. Thing was like $300. But then I upgraded abuch of shit on it. I got the motor power amped up, a red dot scope, surefire light and a all hi cap. magizines. I also got a Tokyo Mauri Knights SR-16 with flip up sights, pistol grip and whatnot. I also got a green gas Colt .357 Combat Revolver and a Green Gas Hk USP. Don't get me started on Airsoft. Thats what I do for fun.

They're just BB guns. Can get them at any market over here. I have a pistol one and some of my mates who have ridiculous ones. Like uzis and that. To be honest it don't matter what they look like they are still just lik being flicked. You can get metal ones which hurt a bit more than the plastic BBs but they still are a bit shit.

That being said my mates lives on a farm and bout a year ago we all went there with out BB guns and shot the fuck out of each other. Great day. Much better than going paintballing I thought but most of mates disagree.

I like airsofting, usually my friends and I would go into each others house and do close quarters stuff, but I really enjoy paintballing and I'd do it more if it weren't so expensive.

I've never seen someone bleed from getting flicked like I have seen from people getting shot with airsoft guns. They go like 350fps. A real .45 gun goes aroung 850-900. I think you got someone confused.

I like both, airsoft and paintball. But yes, the AS it's cleaner and you can play everywhere.
