Allright, I've decided to some of my saved up money on a new toy, I just need to decide which one. I know I want a mossberg and won't buy anything else, I just need some suggestions as to which on I can't decide.

If I had to get a Moss I would go with either of the 590 SPs (Either the Ghost rings or the Heat shield but not the Mariner though) I think for inside use (home defense) the heat shield would win the pick. For other uses the ghost rings might be nice *shrug*
I love my 870 (http://gallery.pressuredrop.org/albums/gats/DSC00672.sized.jpg) though so I don't ever see me with a Moss but if I am ever rich I might go for one of those SPs

I've shot 870's, I just like the mossberg better, to me it just feels sturdier. Probably a little bit of brand allegiance, my first gun was a mossberg mav88.

Zombie uprising. If you aren't prepared right now, you better start preparing.

im big fan of the 590 and then pick up the pistolgrip stock. awesome shotgun, you can also pick up a ten round drum for it and a bayonet. no shit, my guitar players father has the drum and bayonet, and its a zombie killing machine, my boss also has the 590 and swears by it. even without the drum, nine shots from a shotgun? most people dont have that many friends.

Ive got the 590SP, w the heatshield and such, Id have to say, im a remington man when it comes to shotguns, but the main selling point for me was the bayonet lugs, nothing fucks with an indian(feather) more than a bayonet on a 12ga.

The 590 is nice, but you should look at the 870 as well.

590 is a great combat shotgun, but really is only a single purpose firearm.

With the 870 and some accessories you've bought a combat gun, a hunting gun, a skeet gun and whatever the fuck else you want it to be :)

Yeah some of the 870s can do 4 different patterns. Good for everything.

I want to get this new 870 variant:

Didn't have one at the last gun show though.

Also, I wanted to buy one of these for fun:

I bought mine with a nice wood stock, got the pistol grips aftermarket. Like the third one down.

Look at everything you can do to an 870:

There is more than that. I mean, you can get a decent scope, and a rifled barrel for around $200.

I've always wanted a small double barrel. Just a cool gun to shoot at the range for BS. Under the bed gun :)

That'd make em shit.

Or you could just keep a shell in the chamber, like it's supposed to be.:cool:

Well I ended up getting a Mossberg 500 Field with wood stock, and 28" ported barrel. I was gonna get the Mariner 500, but it was 400, and I got the field for $250.00. Saved some money and I'll be able to use it for turkey or duck hunting.

i paid 3 for my 500 mariner NIB and 400 for a used 590 w shield and lug.
the 590s are heavy.

Well I've shot 870's, I don't like the way the magazine has those spring loaded rails. I also don't like the position of the safety or action release. Theres also the fact that the new 870's have two dimples in the mag to prevent extensions. Its a nice shotgun, but personally I like the mossberg better.

Huh? spring loaded rails in the magazine? And the dimples took all of about 4 minutes to be done away with
