Last two suspects in Fort Steilacoom Park attacks located

Lakewood police have arrested the last two suspects in a series of attacks in June at Fort Steilacoom Park that had been attributed to group claiming devotion to the Detroit metal-rap group Insane Clown Posse.
Warrants had been issued last month for the arrests of Ryder Fox Dowling, 16, and Patrick Thomas Valenzuela, the 19-year-old suspected ring leader of the group, on charges of three counts of first-degree robbery and six counts of second-degree assault in connection to the attacks.

Dowling was booked into Pierce County Jail about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday. Valenzuela was booked shortly after 8 p.m., according to the jail’s online inmate roster. Both are scheduled to make appearances in Pierce County Superior Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Details of their arrests were not immediately available.

Dowling and Valenzuela are among seven people charged in a series of attacks that victimized 23 people in June near the Western State Hospital ruins at the park. The attackers told the victims they were Juggalos, a name for followers of the Insane Clown Posse.

The others charged in the case are Anthony Derrick Pierce, Joshua Kuhr-Jarmon, Joel Adam Hradecky, Crystal Rosalena Hilliard and Daniel Barnum. They’ve all pleaded not guilty and are awaiting trial.
