So, I found that Nordstrom Rack has quite the supply of Ben Sherman shirts and whatnot. I found it odd though, that the majority were some combination of pink and purple. Although they did have some nice polos.

That's where i've always gone. In the spring they have a boat load of them. I've found a few perrys at the rack as well.

All I've seen at The Rack are gay ass button-ups that are pink and yellow with big daisies on them. Gross. Better place to go is Macy's. The one at Southcenter Mall has a big section of non-gay Ben Sherman gear.

Didn't see any Fred Perry's. I'll try Macy's. I found one decent polo and a few decent jackets at the rack, that was it. The one non-homo button up was gone. I was less than pleased. You guys know anywhere to get doc's around here? Everywhere I go I have to special order them. I found a pair of red rub off Gripfasts, but there were 175 on sale, docs seem to be much cheaper.

Theyre cheaper because Docs are crap now.
Spend more money on better boots and youll have to replace them less often, thus saving you money in the long run... just like anything else.

Makes sense. I think I need to find 10 eye Boots. The ones I have are 14 and the bunch a bit at the ankle and squeak. It's weird.

It's because they got bought out by Sketchers. How horrible is that?!

Sketchers bought Doc Marten or Gripfast? I found some nice red rub off 10i's I'm gonna go get instead. I hear more and more bad things about Docs, so at least Gripfast is made in England still.

I got a pair of 3i Docs on ebay for 20 bucks. Made in England and never been worn. The only thing I dred is breaking them in. When I broke in my 3i Grinders they made my heels bleed. Terrible I say. I think I'm going to have to hit up Nordstrom Rack and Macy's tomorrow. I've been looking for some cute button ups but can never seem to find them.

Two words for the break in process. Mink Oil!!!!!!!! Seriously, Mink oil those things and let them sit for a day and soak the oil up. They'll break in much more easily.

Maybe, but helpful if you're really having a rough time breaking in the boots.
-A thin application of mink oil or any other oil-based leather treatment softens the leather so it can more easily mold to your feet. On lighter-weight boots, beware, though. Oversoftening can lead to boots that have little or no support.

They bought Doc Marten.
I'd go with the Gripfast, tho the most comfortable boots I own (and have ever owned) is my pair of 10i oxblood grinders. I have a pair of 14i exposed steel Gripfasts but they kill my ankles and lacing up 14i's is a royal pain in the ass when your pants are tapered.

Wait, Skechers bought Doc Marten? I didn't hear anything about that...I just did a quick google, Doc Marten is owned by R. Griggs Ltd, majority shareholder is M. Griggs.

Skechers is it's own company. Skechers and Griggs had a lawsuit settled in 2000, but neither owns the other.

I guess. Maybe a way to "explain" why the quality of the boots has gone down, or something.

Sad but true. My current pair are no doubt the last docs I'll own. Gripfast all the way!
But you wanna talk shitty quality? Skechers takes the fucking cake. I bought a pair of shoes from 'em for work a bunch of years back...fucking things split the sole after a week. I think the employees know they're shit because the guy at the store didn't bat an eye when I demanded a refund.

Yeah, I have heard horror stories about those things.. Apparently they look really sturdy when you buy them but then fall apart in no time. Lame.

He is correct. Don't over soften them. Just apply it once every month or two and it'll help them last though. I've had my current set of boots for a little over a year, which is a long time for me.

Well after I did the heel bleeding bit breaking in those, 4 years later I still have them and love them forever. Which is why I'm not SUPER worried about breaking in the DMs. They were cheap and I thought I wanted new boots but my Grinders are marvelous. I would sell them but I don't know how to do any of that shipping costs and mailing out crap. So I guess I'm stuck with them..
Unless anyone wants to buy a pair of mens size 5, non steel toed, 3i DMs and then tell me how to give it to you..

I tried to return my 14i steel toed Gripfasts, store wouldn't do it. No exchanges since they were 'on sale'. Bitches. So I thought I'd wear them. Killed my damn ankles. They bunch down at the ankles creating folds, since the leather is quite stiff, it was painful. No matter how many times I pulled them back up and tightened the laces, it happened. I'll try to sell them, go get 8 or 10i. Sucks, I love these boots otherwise.
umm...anyone want a pair of men's size 10 14i red 'rub off' steel toes? Worn only once....

Oh yeah, and Macy's is a piece of crap. They have absolutely NO Ben Sherman stuff AT ALL! Probably the smallest section in the store is the Ben section and none of it was even cute. I even checked the men's but everything was at least a large or bigger and I'm a small. Bastards dude. I do need to hit up Marshal's though. Maybe I'll have better luck there.

Yeah, I think only select Macy's have a good selection of BS stuff. I only found it in the Seattle one, everyother place I ask a salesperson and they look at me wierd. I never find anything at Marshalls...everyone tells me they find cute BS bags, and it pisses me off cause I've never seen one.

I've gotten a few cute Lonsdale bags at TJMaxx. But our Marshal's is right next to Old Navy where I used to work and I don't really like going down there much. But, I have to go to the Old Nizzle tomorrow anyways to buy shit for my friend's baby shower so I guess it wouldn't hurt to check it out..
Some people have all the luck.
