Can anyone tell me what is the footie related tattoo inside the forearm of the lead singer of Green Day ...........correct me if Im wrong, and I know you lot will, but its not very traditional in America, for footie related tattoos ?

Yeah I thought so .........I was having a busy day (:wink: ) trawling through the music books in Virgin records .........spotted the aforesaid tattoo, quite surprised as not too many punk bands sported footie related tats either ..........mostly skinhead bands really.

Mind you I did hear that the Cure in their day never went anywhere on tour without Sky Sports satellite on their coach to catch the footie .....QPR fans by all accounts.

Robert Smith(everytime Ive seen him live) wears footie tops(or hockey ones oddly enough) so go figure with that!!!

What's the tattoo, Kev? the wife's a fan and I've seen them twice (admittedly, last time by the end of the gig, I couldn't put one foot in front of the other) and there's loads of pics about, but I can't place the tattoo...

I'm kinda bored right now, so I looked it up on yahoo. I think it's just this:

Roll that bat in hot glue,broken glass, and salt first..... Maybe a good smack in the face with a pillowcase full of dirty needles straight from Vancouvers downtown eastside........then that would suffice.

Its ok if you wanna get the same tattoo because you like the band. Nothing to worry about...I mean...we all wont hold it against you or anything. :tongue:

I do like em and make no excuses for that but I figured that they wouldnt be too well appreciated in the states after the American Idiot album ..........or does the hate preceed that ??.............No mate on the tattoo front ........the only footie related tattoos I have are me very own beloved Hammers !!

Which means the alleys are polluted with thousands...... I think they should take one of the old ferries... paint free herion/crack boat cruise on the side, fill it up, take it out to international waters and sink the fucker. The downtown eastside would be half cleaned up.

I don't hate them. I don't listen to them, but I don't hate them either. In fact some of the stuff I have heard from them I have to agree with some of the points they are making/trying to make.

BTW, soccer is a lot bigger in American childhood than ppl outside of the US seem to think. Granted, it's not as big as it is in Europe, etc.., but it's bigger than you think. I love it & grew up playing it, as did my brother & my ex-step-brother, as well as most of our friends.
