Bounty Hunter Duane Dog Chapman, his son, and an associate were arrested by US Marshals in Hawaii today for extridition to Mexico by request of the the Mexican goverenment on charges of kidnapping.
The charges stem from a 2003 incident when the bounty hunter captured someone now serving 124 consecutive years on multiple rape charges. The person he captured was extridited to the US then Dog and his associates were released after 3 days in Mexican prison.
Video here (http://video.msn.com/v/us/msnbc.htm?g=DB8D2876-A85E-47B8-8CF4-C1315963C297&f=00&fg=copy)
I'm pretty shocked that Mexico would demand extradition now, after releasing them several years ago for the same charges and I'm pretty suprised that the US government would rush to comply so quickly.

It's 100% BULLSHIT!
Like him or hate him the guy does good work. It's bullshit that this would happen to him and those guys, especially after so long.
Fuck that shit, hope it gets fixed and he's back to nailing fuckers soon!

It does seem sketchy that they'd call for arrest after all this time. Makes ya wonder if there's something else going on.

Yeah, according his wife in the video 12 marshals stormed the house at 6:00am and took him at gunpoint for what, his wife again says, is considered a misdemeanor in Mexico after the matter seemed over and done with when Mexico released him in 2003.
Again, I just find it interesting that the US government would be that aggressive just to appease the Mexican government's whims.

Yea I find it interesting too, especially considering the guy he busted wa s a sick bastard rapists, the US should have todl mexico to go fuck themselves. Look at all the illegals from mexico in our country and they make a big deal out of him bringin a piece of shit to justice, but we get all their trash.

Very true, there may be a lot more to the story than what people are being told. I'm just sayin from what I have heard on the news and such that it sounds like he's gettin fucked.

when reading a story like this, one must ask oneself if it would get any coverage whatsoever if this guy didn't have a tv show. would anyone be as worked up about it if it was just some random bounty hunter and not ".....as seen on tv...."? would anyone even know about it outside of those involved? does it really matter?

We probably wouldn't hear about it, true.
Yet, I don't really care much for Dog, only watched one or two episodes. So for me the celebrity factor doesn't play into it.
I am, again, pretty interested in how far the US government appears to be willing to go to serve at the apparent whims of Mexico and other nations.
Whether it was a celebrity or some average Joe who captured a wealthy rapist in Mexico, was released, and then taken by force by the US government years later for extradition to a nation with a questionable judicial system makes no difference to me... other than the fact that we wouldn't have heard about it otherwise.

Thats fucking bullshit. Mexico won't extradite anyone back to america yet we fucking jump to get this dood within 24 hours of their request?
I don't give 2 shits if he is on tv or not or if we would know if he wasn't a tv star. He's a fuckin american.
I remember like 4 years ago this dood in LA killed a cop and ran to mexico and they wouldn't release him back to america.
Fuck that.
Kidnapping? HE ARRESTED A RAPIST.

What I want to know is why the United Stated would give a damn what the Mexican government wants. Their government freely gives maps to their citizens on how to enter our country illeagly so why would Mexico even care? One of their citizens gets brought to our country without needing to sneak in and its something to get pissed about? Dont take dog and his crew away, just give the mexicans back their rapest and let them see if they still want him after 10 more violations.

There's legal ways to do things. He had a warrant to arrest someone HERE where Bounty Hunters are legal, he went with his kid and half the trailer park down to another country and arrested someone....which he has no legal right to do unless he's wanted in Mexico too. Shitty situation I know, but think if it was the other way around and we had Mexicans with no training, no Constitutional authority, and really no authority outside of citizens' arrest rights "arresting" people and bringing them back across the border.

I don't think anyone would have a valid argument against that if Mexico had kept him down there and put him on trial for that crime when they had him in 2003. But they released him as if the matter was closed and then decided to demand his extradition out of the blue in 2006...
Certainly seems like a whim to me.

I think where he arrested the rapist is a moot point.
So what if he broke the law in Mexico, the local police there break it 99.9% of the time.
I think it's discusting that the US goverment is being so complacent in co-operating with the Mexician goverment which is notoriously currupt, cost the US hundreds of millions of dollars in the war against drugs and boarder patrols.

Nah his wife with the matching outfit and haircut is the one that needs to go to jail. My favorite episode was the one with the bigass Samoan football player they tried to arrest that said "Y'all better get this on camera cuz Dog's about to get fucked up!" That's one of the White Trashiest shows on tv. Dog and Leland used to be junkies....bet you would've never guessed!

Some more details came out.
Seems that the extradition is for skipping bail stemming from the charges of kidnapping.
So I guess the hypocrite was busted for doing the same thing that the people he hunted did.

The Bounty Hunter and his wife should be arrested just for the way they look! Her tits are inhuman. Seriuosly though here in socal there are alot of unsolved cop murders by mexican gang members becuase they always flee to mexico and mexico won't extridite because we have the death penalty. Mexico only extridites when the DA in charge promises not to prosecute the death penalty which leaves a life in prison sentence. This case is probably a high profile example of attempting to cooperate with mexico so they will cooperate with us. The DA and the Cops want these cases solved and the murderers sent to prison more than anything else so playing politics and pandering to Mexico is not beneath them.

There are a lot of unsolved crimes involving illegals because L.A. and other cities are sanctuary cities and the cops cant touch them.

Criminals once comitted a crime should have no rights/status/citizenships and all that jazz. Anyone and anywhere should be able to arrest them,
As pointed out...the person comitted the crime in the US...US looks for him...he bails to Mexico...Mexico should be looking for them. If they fail...send in the US guys into Mexico to show them how its done. I think its more of a Mexico's reputation for not catching criminals that they are affraid of therefore they went after an easy kill. It hits the media and all of a sudden...Mexico looks like they are cathing criminals. (except its the wrong ones)

If Dog serves time, so do they.
