im making this thread as a reference guide for any who is interest in buying boots by a brand they have never worn before.
ive owned 4 kinds of boots
Dr. Marten
Getta Grip
Grinders
Gripfast
dr martens are kind of hard to judge becaue they come in so many shapes, sizes, colors, and leathers.
i own a pair of red 1460 with really really soft leather and when i got them they needed no breaking in, they were good to go out of the box.
My Getta Grips are 3 hole shoes made of a fairly stiff leather but didnt take more than a couple weeks to break in
I just got my grinders and im in the process of breaking them in theyre made of really thick leather and the heel is reinforced by somthing possibly more leather or a soft plastic insert. ill post more in a few weeks
my gripfasts are made of a a very tanned medium thickness leather. they didnt take long at all to break in maybe a week and they are my favorite out of all my boots. (who would have guessed right?)
