so, i come into my local starbucks after the long ride home from the company golf outting, nd there is this guy in here on the phone talking loud enough for the entire store to hear. i take my favorite comfy seat near the door, and catch that he is schmoozing some chick on the phone....he is laying it on SO thick. after he hangs up with her, he calls some other chick, and is giving her directions to the starbucks we are at. he hangs up, calls a 3rd girl, talks to her about dressing up like a schoolgirl for him and tells her to send him pics, then he sees the chick that he directed to starbucks, get's off the phone with the school-girl, and starts fawning all over this bimbo that strolls in. now the bitch won't SHUT UP....i am having violent thoughts.....

From the Starbucks website:
Starbucks Donates to Military Personnel
As part of Starbucks ongoing commitment to share the comfort of coffee during times of crisis, the company continues to demonstrate our support of the men and women serving in the U.S. military overseas.
Starbucks is a company with a social conscience and a long history of contributing product, time and funding to a wide variety of local, national and international non-profit organizations. In addition, Starbucks has the deepest respect and admiration for U.S. military personnel. We are extremely grateful to the men and women who serve stateside and overseas. We sincerely appreciate that they are willing to risk their lives to protect Americans and our values of freedom and democracy.
Starbucks employs approximately 80 partners (employees) who serve in the military and are currently on active duty. In support of their efforts, Starbucks provides a military allowance to make up the difference between their military pay and their pay level at Starbucks before they went on leave. The partner can continue health coverage, and family health coverage, if enrolled, for up to 18 months.

Okay Hoon, I stand corrected. But I had read another news letter saying that Starbucks refused to send any of their products to our guys because the company's higher-ups opposed the war. I think it was in NewsWeek or some such. But if that's the case then thank you for correcting my error. Appreciated.

Let's say it... In that place they sell everything but real coffee...

that's one of the reasons i don't go to starbucks, i can't deal with the majorioty of the people who frequent them. plus, i always feel like a tool ordering coffee's there b/c i feel "less worthy" just getting a regular old iced coffee. :frown: i stick to dunkins.

Luckily there's a Dunkin Donuts within 300 yards of my house, where my pakistani brokers can deal me some sweet nectar.

There were Dunkin Donuts EVERYWHERE in Boston. It was so bizarre to me. There was one on almost every fricking corner and the airport had atleast 5. I know, because I had to sleep in the airport. haha. We went downstairs to the Dunkin Donuts in our little section and they were out of plain bagels and chocolate milk, so we just walked one section down and went to the other one. haha.

On occasion - what I object to is that they switch the damned blend every day (at least they do in Tokyo) - and while some of the blends are very drinkable, some of them are horrible.
Dean and Deluca opened up in Tokyo - and for people who drink straight up coffee, you get your choice of their French roast (tastes better) or the City Blend (tastes OK, kicks like a mule). And they have a real deli on site too.

Also, i got a 'pumpkin scone' ...i figured if i was going to open up a bottle of fagsauce, i might as well pour it on thick.
Ironicially there was a massive crowd at the starbucks preparing for the "AIDS WALKATHON" or whatever it's called... everyone in their matching white t-shirts.
