How exactly will they be "Against Poverty" by going to this show? Are all proceeds going to local shelters and food banks? How much of a cut will the promoters and bands take?

Not picking on the show or anything... it just seems like one of those 'Walk for a Cure' things... people keep walking, but no cure is found.

Its a benefit gig for oxfam ( a charity for the under priveliged ) and there are heaps of people going, 20 bucks a head. And i know some of the bands, they said they werent getting payed/no more than some petrol money for travelling there.

And oldcrow, you must be a serious twat to think this show is gay for that reason.
i dont give a fuck whether its a benefit gig for saving the short-nosed long-eared bandicoot in South Australia - rukus, the corps, horno, topnovil, and a bunch of other fuckin awsome bands are playing, who gives a shit?!

Considering im getting up there free, 20 bucks entry aint bad.

I know the whole 'saving the world, one benefit gig at a time!' is annoying, but bottom line is, a bunch of excellent bands and a day out with the lads, and its going to a good organisation.

Hell yes. you were one of the guys who told me about the corps, after searching for a show i could get to with them playing, when my mate showed me the ad for this gig, it was a bit of a weird coincidence!

Ahh i'm close mates with the lads from hornography, and they are playing a show at the Oxford in wollongong friday night, alongside the casino rumblers and los capitanes! So i gotta get to that show, plus i saw the forementioned bands at utopia once and they (the rumblers particularly) are heaps good live.

But i will deffo take a raincheck mate!
