There's a new board so there will be a new Soulseek thread as well. For the people that don't know the program, it's a sharing program where you can find all your underground music need. That means there's also lots of OI!, ska, rac, etc. Just visit www.slsknet.org, download it en join the fun.

My nicnkame is Boothead, talk to me and I'll add you to my list. I have lots of Oi!, some ska and about 2 or 3 rac albums.

It make me feel sad to see that again. I think people don't realise/care about the impact of that site on bands and labels..

What impact is that? That we discover some good new bands through slsk and then buy their albums original?
I got a lot of albums in my slsk, and what I like, I will buy original, there's no question about it.
We cant check out the albums we want to buy in music stores, and give them a listen there, so I dont really see whats wrong with downloading music, I want my personal opinion about an album, and not from the 2 or 3 sites that review it on the internet.

Exactly, I wouldn't know about half of the bands if I didn't have soulseek. Life ain't cheap and I want to make sure the stuff I buy is quallity. I don't think you should be worried, the skinhead scene is very loyal and most of them will actually buy the shit they download.

In this case I can understand but most of the people just download and never buy. So many times in forums I saw threads about people dowloading the complete album without any interest in buying.

Half of the music that I have in my Soulseek folder are all backup's of the originals.

I'm usually in there as TOkyohoon - will be back in (hopefully) in about 12 hours when I reconfigure my damned router to match the new changes the ISP made and forgot to warn us about...

Not right now. I'll be back on tomorrow night. I'm sick of banning jack asses that won't share files.

I've been wondering what the deal is with EXSKIN. He says to contact him and I guess he'll let you see his files.

I'm jonjonjonjon if you want to hear some Korean punk music or skinhead reggae.

The deal is, he's got over 21K music that are all skinhead/RAC related. I've never talked to him, but he let's me d/l off of him and he's actually gotten a few things from me.

I think I'm gonna eventually put all my country/rockabilly stuff on the computer and put a file on there. I'm talking about real country and rockabilly, not Social D or Kenny Chesney.-

Most people will buy the albums they download and enjoy the most. I love the program, you can ahold of lots of stuff that you actually can't buy, like demos or small band's recordings. I think its a good thing to get the music out there to other people.
I would love to have the money to buy every album i've downloaded, but seriously no one has that kind of money, of course I buy the ones I enjoy listening to the most. Most of the albums i've bought I actually downloaded at first, and I think for most people that is the case.

Heres my slsk s/n: lastresort_Aaron. My favorites are japanese and swedish stuff.

I think its sad that bands would rather have me not listen to their music at all than get it for free. I was in a band...i poured money into it and never made a cent. if you're in a punk or oi band for the money, you made a BAD fucking career choice. Plus, half the stuff i download the artists are dead. Im sure they really give a fuck. I buy stuff when i can, and dont feel bad when i download stuff when i cant buy it.
