They are on their way:
On October 1st the Dead End Social Club began taking pre-orders for
their CRUCIFIED SKINHEAD scarf. The profits from the scarf will
help pay for a summer 2008 music festival in Seattle Washington.
TAKE IT BACK FEST plans on drawing on the oi, hardcore, and ska that we
loved in our youth to introduce a younger generation to how it was done
before MTV, Hot Topic, and major media got involved. Many bands
will be playing their only show in 2008 at the Take It Back Fest, and
others are reuniting specifically for the show. We do not want to
ruin it for everyone, but the bands will be in the vein of The Templars, Patriot, Slapshot, etc.
The Dead End Social Club, and TAKE IT BACK is already generating
press. Attached is a recent clip from MRR number 293.
The Dead End Social Club is only making 200 of these scarves, orders
are coming in very fast, they will most certainly sell out, and we will
not be making this scarf again. get it while you can.
The pre-order ends Thanksgiving Weekend, or until our supply is
exhausted, shipping is planned on OR PRIOR TO Nov. 25. As they are selling fast, they may ship within the next two weeks.
You can order the TAKE IT BACK/CRUCIFIED SKINHEAD SCARF at the Dead End Social Club webpage in the merch section: http://www.deadendsocialclub.com
The cost for the scarf is $30 DOLLARS SHIPPING INCLUDED within the USA,
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS PLEASE EMAIL INFO@DEADENDSOCIALCLUB.COM for shipping costs.
Description: Two sided jacquard scarf, red and black, DESC on one side,
TAKE IT BACK on the reverse. DESC logo and Crucified at each end. The
money made from the scarf (limited edition of 200) will go towards the
TAKE IT BACK FEST held in Seattle, WA in August of 2008.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to own this scarf. You'll regret
it.

That's what a Liverpool fan would say. Doesn't mean much to me. They haven't won the League Cup since 2003. My point is, they focus on Europe too hard, and don't bother with their own league.

Cups are Cups who cares... plus FA officials are so fucking biased towards Liverpool. I'm surprised we stay in the Top 4.

So far the crucified skinhead/Dead End Social Club “take it back” scarf has been a big success. We have mailed all ordered scarves, and have stocked our favorite store 99x in New York with some. We are keeping the pre-sale open until the New Year. After that we can not guarantee availability as we will be selling some to other stockists around the world.
Scarves ordered after December 10 will not be mailed until the new year. As we are doing the holiday/traveling thing, and are a REAL small business.
The scarves are only 30 dollars, all taxes and shipping included in the price. You can order them at our web site www.deadendsocialclub.com for more info email info@deadendsocialclub.com
You can see people wearing our scarves at www.myspace.com/deadendsocialclub. If you send in your picture wearing the scarf we will throw it up on the site.
Cheers.

Two things, first, look at how West Ham beat Liverpool today...
Second
we are no longer in the pre-order phase. We have all of our stock, and we will ship the day you order on a first come first serve basis.

We are not involved with the show other than a financial sponsor. I believe Whiskey Doc posted something on here that went into more detail. But, put simply, we are not booking it, are not promoting it, and are not involved other than being a sponsor. Originally we were going to co-promote it, but that ended up not happening.
If i remembered what thread it is on I would link it, but it's on here somewhere.
The lady in charge of the fest is named Rachel, she has a website at: www.powderkegproductions.com. All the bands we initially contacted were handed off to her for the promotion, as it is her deal.
I haven't had an update since before the holidays so i would hit her up.

Cool , cool. Just wondring, because I am looking for other shows, as I don't think I'll be let off for Oi fest this year. It's cool though. I wouldn't trade the army for anything ever. They made me in to a more confident fuckng asshole. I just wish our boys weren't getting sacrificed for the rich white man. And that is how it is. Not saying our boys are fighting knowingly for thsese assholes, but that is what it is.

Been eyeing buying one of those scarfs for awhile now, just haven't taken the final ordering step yet.
As for the post refering to Whiskey Medics comments on that show, should be in this thread http://skinheads.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17467

yeah this is what Whiskey Medic mentioned on it:
The Dead End Social Club was putting one on. Someone else not affiliated with us decided that they wanted to head it up, so she was given the responsibility to do so. We really have nothing to do with that particular event anymore save for, getting her in contact with 90% of the bands. As of right now, I dont know what has been done, or what has not been done, except that it was being done through her own deal called Powder Keg Productions.

yeah this is what Whiskey Medic mentioned on it:
And like I said to him, that's not hardly what happened. It was never a DESC thing in the beginning.
Regardless, it's not happening. Smaller shows will be put on, but a multi-day festival is not in the cards for this year.

I appriciate the clarification, I did not see it previously. But it is a matter of perspective I suppose. I do not want to sound argumentative, so don't take it that way.
However, when shortly after it was envisioned Sabby brought us in, it was originally going to be run under the DESC name, that is why we contacted bands originally and offered to financially back it. This is not to say it was a DESC "thing", but that we were a major contributor to it, and our relationship to the festival had changed.
But that is neither here nor there. It is semantical, and really doesn't matter. It is just too bad that it couldn't come together, perhaps in another year.
No need for this to be discussed in an open forum, when we all have each other's phone numbers and see eachother often enough. It shouldn't matter either way, it is just too bad it isn't happening.
