After reading Lardcores post I figured I would put one up about cars. I have been working on this chevy for some time and it looks a wee bit different than the pictures mind you, but I am in Iraq and dont have any others. It may or may not be in the garage when I get back as some of you know I have recently gone through a divorce. Any way this is the thread to talk about any cars you may be working on if any of you do that sort of thing. The engine going into it is a buick 215 with a GM t-5 5 speed maual. still havent picked the rear end for it yet so engine is sitting on a stand already built and waiting to go in. thes cars had closed driveshafts, so until I switch out the rear end I cant stab the new motor.
I am also debating z'ing the frame in the rear so I can get it alot lower, haven't made up my mind yet. Anyway if your car folk feel free to bitch gripe complain or whatever about your rides in this thread.

This is my 1960 Ford F100. Originally a I-6 3 speed previous owner had dropped a 351 Windsor/C6 combo in. I eventually grenaded that motor and went throw a few other small blocks. Tranny started slipping one day about 2 years ago and we pulled it. (This is where you shouldn't listen to friends) Friend says "Lets BIG BLOCK it". I'm like sweet, so of course with a big block you gotta stop better, so.....we subframe the front with a Volare front end. This gives me power discs, power steering and torsion bar front end. My friends shop get leased out from under him so now.....2 years later my truck sits, half finished.

This is a 1950 Buick Super 50, my g/f car. All original except for radiator and paint. Runs a Buick 236(?) Straight 8 with Dynaflow 2 speed automatic. The best things I like about this car is the front end, only year for this grill and the hood opens side-to-side, either way.....by far the easiest hood to remove for working on cars.

Heres is the 1949 Chrysler Windsor my g/f's other 'DEAL OF THE CENTURY'. We picked this car up for $200 drug it out from under some trees. It has a 'Spitfire' flathead 6 and 3 speed manual but will be swapped for late model small block. This car is going to be the ugly beaten red-headed step child of the bunch. My ideas, two words, LOUD AND NASTY.

This board only allows 10 pics at a time. I might have 2 many cars.

This is my other little toy.

1971 Cadillac Hearse body by Miller/Meteor. This baby runs a 7.7L 472ci big block and a TH400 trans. I haven't done much to this car except have the motor and drive shaft rebuilt. The 2 piece drive shaft runs 3 CV joints and 8 ujoints. This car will run 75 mph, get on it and it'll push 100 and all this while the car weighs 6000 lbs. Only thing I really added was duals with flows and turn downs.

And hey skininthesticks, I might actually have an extra of the plastic insert for your girls hood emblem on the buick. When I get back to the states and assess the carnage in my garage that divorce has wrought, if its there I will contact you. you can have it for free+shipping

theres my 2000 S10, its not an old car or nothing but ive been doing a little custom work to it here and there when theres been extra cash around. still havent decided if i want to raise or lower it. but the next project is to paint the rims matte black with a red lip, tint it, and throw in some custom leather seats.

Don't worry this aint a snob thread post whatever car related shite ya want to. I do alot of work on imports and newer cars for my friends. While I dont particularly like them, A car is an expression of the owner, and if anyone else doesnt like it fuck em. The only person you have to please is yourself.

Those cars are fucking dangerous! Imagine bumping into something and you need to get out! But wait: the door is on the front!

You'll fucking burn to death in that one.
