At 24 years young, I am finally moving out of my parent's house. There are those of you who thought you would never see the day, I myself am shocked, and disappointed that I will have to begin paying rent before I turned 30, but sometimes life screws up your big plans.

Absolutely not, this is a monumental occasion, I was planning on inheriting this house until a couple months ago! :D

Well lucky you, I want to get out of the house as well. The sooner, the better. Must be great to have your own place.

Well, I wouldn't know about that, I have 3 roomates, possibly 2, according to one of my roomates another roomate already got kicked out, so who knows.

I would live in a cardboard box on the side of the road before I'd ever live with my parents again. I got the hell out when I was 19. My mother and I aren't exactly the best of friends or anything.
Congrats to you for finally getting your own place. Paying rent sucks but not having someone constantly nagging you about stupid shit sure is nice. Of course I don't know how your relationship is with your parents. I'm guessing it must of not been too bad if you were living there for so long. :)

Eh, I never found it that bad, my parents never beat me or anything, and we had a pool. But yeah, it will be cool, I'm more excited because I don't know anyone there, and nobody knows me. No people bothering me and shit.

Hey! Good for you, mister. I knew you had plans to (Johnny let me in on the secret). Now you're only 4 hours away from us. We're planning on having an Eat Meat or Die Fest coming up soon (this will be the 3rd one) and y'all most definitely have to join us.

No way, I hadn't set foot downtown, or seen any friends since March, when I went down to my usual haunts to tender my resignation from this city... I wanted to pound my crotch with a tack hammer. Sobering up really changes your perspective on things, plus I spend almost every weekend September through November in Tallahassee anyway, it's really a home away from home.

I'll be there, lemme know. Plus I talked to Ian on the phone the other day, I'm not sure if you remember him from last Beer Olympics, and that Labor Day house show in ATL, but me and him want to meet up in NC if that Templars show gets rescheduled.

The Templars show has been reschuled for November 11th. Same venue, same lineup minus The Vaticans though since they broke up. Just gotta get the okay from the venue owner on posting the revised flyer.

Also in the works for November 10th is a soul/reggae all nighter in Raleigh at Alibi Bar. The plan is for Phil Templar to come down and spin with some of the other local dj's. He was here the weekend of August 4th and it was a blast! No cover charge, great music, decent drink specials, it's always a good time. Hopefully everything will work out for that to happen. I'll keep everyone posted as I get more details. :)

Yeah, I remember Ian. That's cool. If Travis has that weekend/day off I dont see why we wouldnt go to it. I will definitely let y'all know about our next BBQ though. I think we may have it for Trav's birthday next month. We'll see though.

It's just one of those things I never felt impelled to do, I'd think about it, then get my paycheck, do the simple math, and say fuck that.
