hey ya'll, i dont think i've mentioned anything about the newest member of the fam, my sister done had her a kiddo here bout 5 weeks ago. anyways, ol boy's been in and outta the hospital a couple differnt times for some different stuff, first started out as a bronchial infection which has yet to completely go away, and now over the last fe days hasnt been able to hardly keep any food down. eat, and then just quite shortly after, yacks it all back up. this been goin on for about 3-5 days now, and the idiotic dr's at the first places she went come up with 19 different ideas about wtf they thought it may have been. anything from acid reflux to bad formula to you name it. finally, the pediatrician/main Dr gets around to coming in, they do a series of tests on bubba and come to find out since he was kinda lremature, there's a portion of his stomach muscles that havent fully developed, or it's been growing in in a weird position that wont allow him to keep naything down, or even let food pass thru into his stomach. for now, he's asleep finally and lettin my sis get some rest for a bit, and will be under observation until friday. the final say at that time will be whether they have to do surgery on his tummy.
for any baby, especially one that's onl 5 weeks old, this just doesnt sit too well with me but whatever needs to be done to get him fixed and healing and growing properly, well hell, needs to be done. i'm just worried outta my gourd, along with the rest of my faimly about him. anywys, if ya'll could say a prayer if you're the prayin type or light a candle, just needed to get some weight off my chest. thanks...

My daughter was born with a fever of 107. She spent 10 days in the NICU, and when she was only ten hours old they did a spinal tap to cheak for spinal menegitas. Nothing i've done in this life was harder than holding that little girl and watching that doctor withdraw 3cc's of spinal fluid from her. My prayers are with you!

my boy had a problem with projectile vomiting as a new born, he was 7lbs 10 oz when born and after 4 days went down to 5lb 2 oz.
they put him in scbu (special care baby unit) for 48 hours pumping him full of anti biotics and drip fed him.
after the 3rd day he was alot better, but they think it was due to him having a troubled birth and suffering a lung and gut infection by swallowing air and amniotic fluid.
i will hope your problem is as easy to fix as my boys and lil bub lives a full an healthy life.

Hey, after everything we went through inthe beginning with Minihoon, we have a a prayer or ten for your sis and her little one.
The important thing is they know what the problem is, so now they can fix it.

Danm Nick. Sounds like your sister needs to seriously change doctors, esp. with this and the other things you told me a couple weeks ago going on with this kiddo. Hes going to be fine, might need a feeding tube but its really no big deal, mine came home from the NICU with one and loads of medicine for reflux. Find a better doctor.

yeah rachel that doctor of hers is the most outsourcing piece of shit i've ever met from anyone that i've known who had a baby. he for real wouldnt come in until she called him directly, chewed his ass for 20 minutes tellin him this and the 3rd, she was fed up with bveing seen by residents/ nurse practitioners, etc. and gettting one diagnosis and then another. one tells her acid reflux, another said bad food, another one wasnt sure, so she finally called dr ferris and said i'm dealing with noone but you. he got them in the next morning, they did the exams and hes in for observation now. got an IV in him just a few minutes ago as i talked to her on break...he hasnt been puking too much today, and he didnt get sick too much...i just got fed up as fuck with the doc yankin them around....eh...she's looking for a new dovc as it is i believe...anywys. thanks a bunch....
