Toronto legends the Deadly Snakes (http://www.punknews.org/bands/thedeadlysnakes) are planning a posthumous live album chronicallying their final show. The set, a massive 37 song collection, is due sometime in 2008 via In The Red Records (http://www.punknews.org/labels/inthered). The Snakes played two gigs billed as their last, the "official" one on August 25, 2006 at the Horseshoe Tavern, followed by a smaller scale gig on the 26th at the Silver Dollar Room. The three hour gig at the Horseshoe featured a number of guests including members of the Dirtbombs and Mark "BBQ" Sultan (http://www.punknews.org/bands/marksultan).

You can click below for some crowd cam'd footage of BBQ and the Snakes covering Eddie Floyd's "Big Bird" at the gig.

The band last released Porcella (http://www.punknews.org/review/5359) in 2005. Since they split Andre Ethier has been performing solo, most recently releasing his On Blue Fog LP. Chad Ross has performed solo as Nordic Nomadic (http://www.myspace.com/nordicnomadic) and in a duo with Andrew Gunn dubbed Quest For Fire (http://myspace.com/questforfireband).
