I’ve been thinking of getting a tat inside my lower lip just kinda for the novelty of the idea, but I’ve heard they usually fad very quickly and need frequent touch ups. Is it worth the cash or is it just going to be a black hole investment?

Get it while you get another piece done.
Mine needs another touch-up. That would make it 2.

My husband got his lower lip tattooed about 8 years ago. There has been minimal fading. You can still see all of it quite clearly with the exception of the first number and the one on the end. They are a little faded but you can still tell what they are. I think it all depends on the person really. My brother got his done and within about a month it had completely fallen out. Even if you do have to get it touched up it shouldn't cost you anything. Most good artists guarantee their work and don't mind doing a touch up here and there if it needs it.

That's gotta be the worst reason to get a tattoo, ever...

That may be, but it's under my lip. It's olny visible if i show it off. Why would it need to be something serious.

Yeah, seemed to cause a lot of problems that one. Ive got a nice one of a spinning jar with a deformed fetus in it. Its rather colourful and entertaining.........i'll stick that up in a bit. Should brighten the place up i reckon.

My buddy has "Sit Here" on his and it lasted about a year before it needed to be touched up. Im getting mine done with "Fuck You" Before I head back down to the gulf.

I've had mine done for around 5 years and its needed no touch ups and still looks fresh, but I was warned by the tattoist that the ink would fall out after around 6 months. So I'm reckoning that it varies a fair bit from person to person.
