I just heard rumor that Mark Noah is planning to put together another Beer Olympics w/Antihero's and many others in tow around November 25th. Anyone have any info on this? Maybe a website with true info?

I heard it rumored from Smash Points - Apparently they are on the bill to play at the Masq Nov 25th with Anti-Hero's....that's all I know, I haven't been able to verify it other than that.

I hope not cause theres a huge oi/ska/punk 2 day fest in Orlando that w/e with Vice Squad,Hub City Stompers etc etc that,since Ill be in FLA for T'giving,I was gonna hit up..........

no. rico's still gettin everything together and finalized. when its all set up, its basically gonna be word of mouth, but ill probably get something up for it.

Yeah i hear that it's gonna happen but i heard Thanksgiving day,i hope thats not true because that would truely suck! From what i hear its only gonna be a one day thing.

I talked to Katy and her and Mark (McGee) are about 95% sure its going to be on Thanksgiving day - if not, it will be on the 25th. She said she'd let me know ASAP; as soon as she does I'll post it.

Yeah Rudy has it on his calender for the 25th and it says they are playing ,i was hoping Katie just got the day wrong.

Thanksgiving day would be a horrible day to do it. Who knows maybe they ment thanksgivng weekend or around thanksgiving?I can't remember I just herd it that nite.

I agree, whoever's idea to have it on or near thanksgiving for that matter needs to seriously reconsider..Thanksgiving is the most traveled holiday, and expensive. its not a really smart decision.

It would so suck if this is happening around Thanksgiving. My brother is supposed to be coming home from L.A. and I've got 10 people to cook for! Argghhhh!!!! I do hope this is just a rumor and that it will be at a later time. :frown:

Yeah, the timing really does suck. When I first started hearing they were going to do it they said it would probably be a last minute thing - I think it may be a benefit for Justin Parker, a guy who lost both of his legs in an accident a few months back. It could be that they are doing the show around Thanksgiving because they will be here visiting family or the holiday (maybe :confused:).

perhaps, although it makes it inconvient for everyone else and wouldn't be much of a benefit if only 10 people show up.

My thought too . . . if it ends up being on Saturday, Anti-Heros will probably draw a pretty decent crowd - even if its mostly Atlanta folks.

Fuck it, Ill go..last thanksgiving sucked anyway. Uninvited relatives showed up and somehow I had to give up my seat at the table. I didnt get to eat until after everybody sat around eating, then they had pie then coffee...it was like 10pm before I got to eat my cold pieces of turkey. Seeing the anti-heros would be way better.

Heh, the drummer will be shipped out by then(unless something's changed again, that I don't know of). The RiotFest will be there last show for some time.

So basically - it's not the Beer Olympics - it's the Anti-Hero's wanting to do a gig with a few other bands for a possible benefit.

I hope they keep the "Beer Olympics" name out of every show the Anti-hero's do now - that kind of kills it for me personally. I have fond memories of the first few BO's with Tons of bands in multiple locations and good times held by all. Just cause Mark's putting it on doesn't mean it's "The Beer Olympics" does it? :wink:

I agree ,it needs to just be the AntiHeros plus whoever. Its only going to be one day and it wont compare to beer olympics of the past.

Instead me going to Moms for turkey Mom is coming to me sooooo after that nonesense I am getting into my OiMommy mobile and driving the 4 hours to ATL for Anti Heros/much booze/crash in hotel/drive home..........:biggrin:

oh btw.....Im running away to live with your wife! I had the best time...thanks so much again for having us.........we gotta do it more often..........

From what I have heard its gonna be the 25th the proceeds are gonna go to Justin Parker an old back in the day skinhead in atlanta. He's one of Mark Noahs old friends. Basically Mark Noah is gonna have most the bands playing free its gonna be one day with like 6 bands He's talking to the Templars and Agnostic Front from what I've understood but don't take anything for granted til all the bands are confirmed the only deffinats is Amos from APA, Roughage's new band, Smash Points and Anti-heros. We're gonna be doing a couple gigs with Murphy's LAw the two days before that show so we should be tigh as hell we are gonna be playing some new stuff and will have a new demo available. I'll post on here as soon as I have more infromation. Also Mark Magee, Kev, and Sab from Stormwatch are putting together two gigs for Condemned 84 one in Delaware and one in Atlanta. So theres gonna be a few good gigs coming up.

Good news is....some of the bands are still playing... and if I don't get to see the Templars there, I'll just go see them in JAX on St. Patty's day.
I wish I could make my way up to ATL for that Anti-Heroes gig....
