Hey, the sole on my 10i steels are starting to rip off and it's evident it's just gonna get worse. The nice little punk/alternative store here in Denver carries Underground boots, and was wondering if any of you had them before and could tell me the quality of them. I was specifically wondering about the ones with the external steel toe cap.

They're too expensive. Especially with the slippery soles.

Try and find Boots & Braces over there or in some German shop that ships for a nice price.

I got a pair of the external steel toes. Wife used to work at a place that had garage sales for taxe season. I think I paid like $50. They're just like any other Commando type boot. A bitch to break in and fairly tough. I still have mine and they're about 8 years old now. Bad part is I have to periodically put super glue under the cap because it seperates in time. The geniuses at Underground really should have attached those caps with screws instead of nails.

If their boots are anything like their shoes, forget about them. I had a pair of steel toe oxfords from them and they were the most uncomfortable shoes I'd ever owned.

Hey Ian, if you want boots that last, and are easy to break in, spend the extra cash on some gripfasts. Trust me you can't go wrong.

And by the way, do not get the exposed toe models. Unless you want a ton of shit from everyone in CO.
