Help me out. I just hooked my Sony STR-D615 back up. I only use it for my record player really. I tested the speakers out, and my left channel is DIRTY AS FUCK...like sounds as if the speaker is blown. Swapped the left channel speaker out with the right, same deal. Running both on left channel right now.
Any ideas?

Weird, I don't know about that one. Just run them through the one then if that's working for you, you don't need the balance thing anyway.
Or......

Put this on your shoulder and diddy bop down the block.

Clarification needed:
The left channel sounds dirty no matter which speaker? Or the left SPEAKER sounds dirty no matter which channel?

If your feeling adventuresome you could crack the case open, make sure everything is seated well, and blow it out with a can of air.

Yes. Yes I am. So what if I cant hear most of the back up vocals or that awesome fill the rhythm guitarist just threw in there. I may be only 70% rocking, but by jeebus, I am rocking none the less.

Ok, if it's the left channel no matter what, then check the ground on the outlet it's plugged into. This is usually just as simple as using an extension cord and trying a couple of other outlets. If the ground isn't connected properly (signal clears on other outlets), throw your breakers and open the outlet up, and reconnect the ground.
If that doesn't clean it up, as Loathe suggested, pop the case and blow everything out with a can of compressed air.
