How much is the show?

I know Flogging Molly played here on my bday and they wanted $32 for a ticket.

If I want to hear political rants by ignorant knownothings, I'll turn on MSNBC for free, thanks.

haha....it's $15.
I know I'm going to Zippo Raid, McGunks and The Spoilers show on the 21st at Collins in Peabody though...that's free, even though the pub smells like poop.

Street Dogs are ok, but I don't get why everyone thinks so highly of them, they piss me off.

Why do they piss you off? As far as bar bands go I've seen here Flatfoot...Street Dogs and a local band called Bristle really kicked ass. Then again I like a damn good stage presence, like'em or not the lead singer of SD does have a flair for the showmanship.

I dont know if whole wheat bread is playin that show with them, but they were the only ones that impressed me from the SD/Bouncing souls show even though they were kinda poppy. Fuck the bouncing souls, and their left wing shit. And fuck the little twerp working the "Iraqi vets against the war" merch table from that show.

Thats what I said when I walked over to the merch table and there was a guy wearing a cut up BDU top with the big red one patch and his rack of medals on it. After onversation with him, I politely called him a fuckin idiot and reminded him no one forced him to sign a contract and that war is just that war.

I probably would have gotten kicked out of the show. Now I am having second thoughts about going. I am surprised Mike McCoulgan hasn't really said anything about it.

After BS played some anti-war song, I made my drunken way to the front and kept 2 fingers in the air, everytime it got quiet I yelled "fuck you" and "proud vet" after their set he guitarist came up and talked to me, trying to tell me they were there for "guys like me" and that's why they were against the war. I asked him if anyone in the band had been to Iraq and he said no, so I said how can you be against something you know nothing about? he couldnt answer then I told him that everyone on the punk scene is under fat mike thumb and jumping on the bangwagon of bush/war bashing.

Yeah, can't really remember the show so I must assume I saw them while I was tipsy or they were just not a memorable band. Couldn't tell you which.

Maybe "piss off" wasn't the right expression, they just really rub me the wrong way. I've seen them several times and Mike always goes off about politics or something stupid like that. I went up to him once to say he did a good job or something like that and he came across as very arrogant and condecending.

Well, Darkbuster kicked ass as usual last night. I went home soaked in beer and about 10 other peoples sweat. Gross.
Did you happen to make it out rogo?

i was planning on it, but i decided to walk over to see the street dogs set, considering the avalon is only about a mile from my dorm, and by the time i got home i was to lazy to make the trip to cambridge. kinda regreted not going, even though the dogs were pretty good, once the bouncing souls came on though, i had to get the hell out.

Aaaannn all the time is an understatement. I think I've seen them more than any band, ever. My boyfriend even flew to Seattle to see them play last year. (well, and to see me when I still lived there too)

i think they're kind of overrated. their fist cd was pretty good, the rest kind of really suck. and i'm not feeling the irish accent shit on ever freakin song, its a tad lame.
