i would have been glad to give you mine, but it's a medium. i got it issued in basic and only wore it a handfull of times until i got my gortex.

i don't know man, i'm a little fella. from what i can imagine, you are a large long. the army breaks shit up into short, regular and long. so your size is probably a large long. i know guys inside of the 5' 9- 5' 11 range that rock size large, so i was thinking x large for a field jacket. if you get x large it may be a little big, but that's ok for jackets and shit. i like to wear large jackets sometimes. your best bet is probably a local surplus store. the army is phasing out woodland cammo, so maybe it will be more available in the near future.

yea the xl might be a good idea too because ill rock it with a liner during winter.
tight jackets suck balls, so i think ill take your advice on this one

you know homey, i think the army issued field jacket liner (smoke jacket) is probably the most comfortable shit i've ever worn. get you one of those knuckas and i hope the M-65 situation works out for you. like i said, check out a surplus store for a good deal. mean time i'll check around and see if i can't hook a young blood up with some gear.

Its woodland, and its an XL- Regular. Not an alpha though. Gen-u-ine issue. How cheap is cheap? Like 30 bucks?

You are my same size (height and weight) and I gave my XL away years ago, or you could have it. Not very warm, but like Mickey said, the field jacket liner is one of the best pieces of equipment the US military has ever issued.

gripfast, there is a small store near me, its decent priced. http://www.1starmy.com (http://1starmy.com/viewproduct.asp?Productno=94)

I recommend it. and if you want to know some answers about size, call 'em up. the owner is about 6'1" 200LBS, so he should be able to help you with the size.

Have you scoped e-bay? You could probably find one on there. And yeah, I would rock an XL if I was you. I'm 6 foot 6 and 265 pounds, and I generally go with XXL. Sometimes they're a little big, but better to have something a little too big than a little too small.

i tried one on at an army navy store an xl was waaay to big. the large fit nicely

and yes ive checked ebay they go for anywhere from 40 up not including shipping. if i cant find one for basically free ill probably just snag a cheap shell off ebay and get a nice liner.

You've searched for months for something that you obviously want, went to a store that had what you want, tried it on,liked it,& still didn't buy it?
You've probably ran up your parents electrical bill 10 times what that jacket cost just asking about it online.

I still have mine if you want. I can pick you up a liner around here for like 5 bucks. I said what..30 before? 45 including the liner, shipped.

Edit: Just saw that the XL was too big for you. You have to remember man, the things were built so that you could layer underneath. If used right, they will keep you fucking warm.

the ones i tried on did not have liners but the xl was WAYYY too big even with a thick ass hoodie underneath. if the xl had fit me i would have bought yours last year. im actually supprised that you take an xl. i know your tall but im thinkin youre quite a bit slimmer than i am.

As I said, I lost a ton of weight since I got my initial issue in basic. I went from a 40 waist to a 36, but I am still thick in the shoulders, so unless I want to shell out for specially tailored uniforms, such as I did with my Class A's and dress blues, I am stuck in a Large Long uniform and XL Gortex.

yea i need a large long flight. large is good around the body but only goes to just under my belly button and half way down my fore arms. but the xl is puffy as shit. it sucks.
