I got my neck tattoo lasered yesterday and so far only part of it has lightened. My friend that went with me says he can see a difference, but I can't. He got a few of his done right after me and you can tell already (given mine was well done and in color, while his was black and... interestingly... done)
The guy who did it said it might take a few weeks for it to disappear. Anyway to anyone else who has had it done, how long did it take to fade?

I have not... it's not bad, just badly placed.
It's 3 purple rings atop of one another with a heart above. I'd post a pic, but my USB port doesn't feel like working.

getting the thing on was fine, getting it off hurt like a mo-fo, not quite as bad as the noggin' tat, but fuckin' bad. It only takes a couple minutes though so that was nice. And no one warns you about the burnt hair smell... they should really have you shave the area first.
I have more than enough ink to make up for the missing piece, so I don't think I cheated at all. I just took advantage of avoiding a cover up.

Is it you that has the "Skinbyrd" or something similar on your neck that you got when you were 17 or so? (Or it might be I'm thinking of Janelle's little sister, unless that's you? Haha, I've been away too long...).

I just got a piece done by Johnny (he and my man are friends from way back). I've heard he has a heavy hand (and by the end of the 3 hr session I was ready to give!) I really like his work, though. My man has lots done by him.
Bugs Tattoo in Camdem (London) was really good (I think he's in California now, doing some weird artsy shit). He gave me a 3 hr head tatt and it was pretty painless, as tatts go.

I posted this picture a couple years ago here, but I got a request to see the after pictures of 4 laser surgeries. Let me give a little back ground about it. I had it tattooed when I was 11 (india ink) I am now 33, in my teen years I worked as a cook, one being a pizza joint for few months, the ink all but melted under my skin from putting my hands in and out of 500 degree ovens.. So, I had them tattooed over professionally with these little skin tears, they looked OK but they faded.
This organization was offering gang tattoo removal and the “tears” had faded so much you could see the melted skinhead across my knuckles pretty well. After having “skinheads” classified as a so called “gang” LOL (I know I exploited our culture). I did a bunch of community service to pay for my laser surgeries, I had four in all, the first to remove the pro ink which all but disappeared, 3 more to remove the India ink which was really deep in the skin and takes a different laser then the one they used on the pro tat. I was scheduled for 3 more surgeries but was running out of time because I was turning 18. I never had the other 3 surgeries done, and this is what im left with. Im not sure if I should get them tattooed over at this point or drop the bucks for more laser removal. Any ideas?

Not with white - but a friend of mine did have success with "negative tattooing" - using a "skin colored" ink.
In his case it didn't cover a whole tattoo, but lightened hand and neck tattoos enough to not be visible.

I know it was in good fun, no harm, no foul. I have to admit that seeing that across my own knuckles first thing in the morning was a little disturbing at first, but I immediately found humor in it as well considering that I opened myself up for it. I have 4 children, all boys, ages 10, 11, 12 and 7 months, if any sick fuck laid their hands on any of my children…lets just say daddy would be in jail for a long while.
Anyway, for all the shit I have dished out in my life time it would be a crime for me not to be able to shovel it in. Its people that can’t find anything humorous about themselves, hold grudges for harmless jokes, or think so highly of themselves that they can’t stand to have any personal flaws pointed out to them by others, constructive or not, those are the ones you need to be careful of. I find them to have imbalanced personas.
If you wanna delete that shit go for it, but don’t do it on my accord.

Nah,actually fingerprint removal ain't such a bad thing. I caught wind a few months ago that fingerprinting will be the new "in". Yep instead of pin numbers..swipe your print..instead of key's..put your hand on the print reader. it will be years before this shit comes into play. But removing them now...not a big thing due to the fact that they'll be healed and no one would question why you don't have them. It's just another way to keep yourself one step ahead of Big Brother.
