I can get Grinders for $115 plus $15 for shipping or there is a store here in Dalton that has Gripfast for $100.
I guess what I am asking is, would I be better off with Grinders for the extra money or Gripfast for cheaper?
I'm used to wearing Docs so I don't really know about the quality of the other brands.

I was going to mention that gripfasts are generally a 170ish and ask where exactly you were finding them for 100. Great boots.
But if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose Grinders.

There's a store in the mall called New York Emporium. They have old boots cause no one ever buys them. There is a huge selection of brand new Docs when they were still made in England.

Personally I prefer my Grinders but only because my experience has been that they run a bit wider (I generally wear a EE shoe size so shopping for shoes and boots is a major chore). Gripfasts fit..just not quite as comfortable.
One thing I did remember reading or seeing somewhere is that the company that imports Gripfasts was no longer going to do so in the US (not sure if theres a whole lot of truth to that and may just be a rumor mill..)

Every one that I've known has had problems with their Grinders. I've never actually owned a pair, but I love my Gripfast. Great boot.

Thanks for the help everyone. I think I'll go with the Gripfast. Just strait cash and no waiting for shipping.
