My husband is the bassist for ATF and they are NOT playing this show. The promoter never sent them a contract as promised. After repeated attempts to get in touch with him with no response they all agreed it was a no go. None of them want to make the haul to Orlando with no guarantee in place.

Looks like a good show, just not worth the trip all the way down there. I was suprised to see that Whole Foods was listed on the flyer as one of the sponsers.

I swear to christ this freakin' line up has changed more times in one month than is humanly possible...
Let me see if I can hunt down some accuracy.

Because Florida sucks. What else would you expect from the state that spawned Disney World.

And I'm still wondering how this show will benefit POW/MIA and their families??? I mean that would be an awesome cause; but in our current wars I've only heard of 2 POW /MIA: Keith "Matt" Maupin,
and now:Ahmed Qusai al-Taai. There is also 1 possible surviving POW/MIA from the first Gulf War: Michael Scott Speicher. Are these service men, and their families, the ones who will benefit from this show? It would piss me off if the POW/MIA tag was just being exploited for profits. The organizers need to give more details about the specifics of the POW/MIA benefit.

I certainly hope that the people putting on this show are not using the guise of it being a POW/MIA benefit as a means to get people to come out and spend money for the purpose of lining there own pockets. I, like you, am wondering how this will benefit POW/MIA. I also noticed that American Defense Records is listed as one of the sponsors for this even though none of the ADR bands are playing now. It all seems a little strange to me.

Antagonizers have had to drop off now as well. Their singer is traveling alot for work these days and is unable to get the time off to make it down for the show.

Yeah, somehow we got listed as sponsors. If by sponsor, they mean that none of our bands are playing, we arent going to the show, we have not provided any promotion or financial aid for this show, and we just merely know that this show is happening... then yeah, we're sponsors.

Sounds like a sponsor to me.

O.k, here's the FINAL line up apparently.
The show IS on, the show IS legit.
Anyone with any questions can contact Nigel, the organizer, directly: 954-703-4044. He's an old school NYC skin, relocated to Florida, and a stand up guy.

hey, this show is totally legit. I personally know nigel who is throwing it on. anyone that really knows me from the streets knows I am a standup guy.
I heard someone state that this was another woodstock of hardcore, but let me tell ya, I WAS THE ONE THAT BUSTED THE WHOLE SCAM WIDE OPEN FOR WOODSTOCK OF HARDCORE! and after we busted the bitch, we had all these bands that wanted to play and joe from club deep donated his club to us, and the show went on. It still happened and we changed the name to hardcore by the shore. it was the fastest thrown together show around. we did it in 2 weeks, but it went on! I dont promote false shows, and I sure as hell know this show is happening.
I dont know how many people here actually have tried to put on big festivals, but I also need to say, when you have over 5 bands, shit happens! bands drop off, personal reasons, illness, law reasons, etc.
Its people that bad mouth shows that dont do anything but go to shows, but never promote or put on a show that hurts the scene.
I hope to see everyone at this show. also the pow/mia is an organization, all proceeds, after paying the bands, go to them.
so stop questioning the intention of the show, go, have fun, and hang out!
will be a great weekend!
Cheers!
