Dude no ones said your defense was bad, its your passing game. You can run and defend all you want in the regular season, but you cant win in the post season with zero passing game. Another standout game by Rex
6/19 for 34 yds 0 TDs and 3 INTs.
And you beat a 5-6 team by 10 points. 2 weeks didnt matter when they lost. Then when they won points mattered. Now can points matter?

All that matters is if the Bears have one more point then the opponet. Fuck it, if Rex cant score points, Urlacher, Vasher, Hester, Harris, Briggs, Gould, will.
By the way, the Ravens did it in 2000 with Dilfer who was rated worst then Grossman is this year.

Uhhh dude.... thats a 1 point difference and that hasnt been updated. You dont think Rex's amazing 1.3 QB rating will lower those numbers? ONE POINT FUCKING THREE! THAT IS THE WORST QB RATING I HAVE EVER HEARD OF!
-edit-
Lots and lots of people, including every pregame, postgame and halftime show ive watched today, have said its time to bench Rex.
-edit 2-
By the way, with todays numbers, it puts rex around 75, so, Dilfer was better so far

We did dominate said division for the better part of 15 years in a period where the Bears literally had almost 20 starting quarterbacks and their best offensive player(probably the best player on the team period) is a Center....just saying is all.
Enjoy it while it lasts, because that come down is a bitch...I know what it was like to be a Bear fan all those years now.

You mean the publicly traded team that sells has sold $200 shares of ownership to over 200,000 people...shares that dont pay dividends and can not appreciate in value or be sold, and even then have a limit on the number of shares a person can buy so they cant have real power over te team? You have it backwards. They have been sold out for the past 40 years. Not GOING to be sold out for 40 years. How can tickets that don't exist be sold?Season tickets have been sold out since the 60s. There is a huge waiting list. It may not be 40 years for everyone, but people who signed up in the 70s and 80s are just now getting tickets.
weknowhowtolive
12-04-2006, 06:11 PM
There are close to 60,000 people on a waiting list to get them...so they are sold out in advance.
-edit- actually its passed 70,000 now.
"
Greg Moore, an employee of the Green Bay Packers as a Lambeau Field tour guide, joined the waiting list in 1983, a time when the Packers where struggling. When Moore first got on the list, there were about 42,000 names ahead of him. Fast forward 23 years, and that number is now around 35,000.
"Hopefully, my grandchildren's grandchildren can enjoy the seats," Moore laughed.
Moore, during an hour-long tour of the stadium Saturday, stated turnover is extremely rare for season tickets and most are "willed." Moore said most fans leave their season tickets in their will and fans can pass on their tickets to a member of their immediate family up to a first cousin."

The Packers are a non-profit corporation owned by it's fans, Lambeau did that to keep the team in Green Bay, if the team ever folded the money from the team's assets would've been used for a Veteran's Memorial, now the money would be given out to the Packers charity....yeah we're a real bunch of dumbasses...How else do you think a town with 100,000 people could keep a team in a television orriented sport?
As for what Dave said, I don't know where the fuck you get that Packers fans don't follow their team when they're bad....we've had some horrible losing streaks, my Mom's followed the team for 59 years, they were shitty when I started following them and that was 17 or 18 years ago...there are people that started going to Packer games in the 30's and 40's that haven't missed a game...there's a Packer helmet on the Green Bay city flag for Godssakes. It's not just in Wisconsin either...it's all over the midwest, people would side with us before they would side with a team from Chicago. Shit, I'd side with the Packers before I'd side with a team from Chicago...I've literally been to Wisconsin more times than I've been to the actual city of Chicago...I've only been inside the city limits about 20 times in 24 years... the last time I was there was Christmas Eve 2005..
I've driven past Soldier Field about 9 times in my life, and have only been there once...I go by Lambeau field about every other month.....so actually I have more of a connection to the Packers than the Bears....I don't know where you get this fairweather fan bullshit.

What I don't get is why Chicagoans always have a chip on their shoulder about bullshit....it's sports....it's not the be all end all of the city. There's such a fucking little man complex around this area about everything. People are talking shit about the Bears because they like other teams....it's got shit to do with the city of Chicago. People around here place players like Michael Jordan and Brian Urlacher, that obviously don't give a shit about their own wives, let alone you, on a pedestal as civic heroes, but could give two shits about a Jean Baptiste du Sable, G.S. Hubbard, W.B. Ogden, John Wentworth, Carter Harrison, John Medill, Anton Cermak, Oscar Meyer, The Swifts, Marshall Field, Richard Sears, Richard Dailey, George Pullman, A. Phillip Randolph, Stephen A. Douglas, Montgomery Ward, Jane Adams, Ida B. Wells, Fred Hampton, Harold Washington, Enrico Fermi, Louis Sullivan, Frank Lloyd Wright, Ernest Hemingway, Col. Robert McCormick, etc etc etc Hell, even Lincoln had some strong Chicago ties....the majority of Chicago doesn't even give a second thought to these people....who are the people who should be put up on a pedestal instead of Mike Ditka or somebody if we're gonna talk about who or what is important to Chicago.
I've had to deal with Bears fans my whole life, you guys do the same shit everyone is doing in this thread EVERY YEAR whether you suck or not. So who's hating? It's just general sports shit talking. That's the thing...which Bears are going to show up? The Bears that played the Bucs last week or the Bears that beat us in week one? Their defense has more holes in it now than it did then...but Urlacher has decided to act like a real football player this year.
Since I'm on Urlacher....The guys got talent for days...but is he gonna grow the heart of a champion in time for this game or the playoffs? That's probably why he was ranked the most overrated..He's fast but he can't hit. He's got no charisma, no personality, no fight....let me have that kind of talent...I bet I wouldn't go through the motions on tackles or just run ballcarriers out of bounds like he does. Well, thats what i've been saying all week to my buddy. The Bears are just cruising now. The only reason this game will matter is that it's a rivalry game. Lovi probably wont let them play bad, but that doesnt mean they wont. Rex has shown all year he can play terrible at any time. so, i guess we just cross our fingers, hope rex sucks and the Saints win.
No shit, we dont need any unnecessary injurys and the banged up players need to rest. Should we go balls out to beat Detroit and Green Bay when niether game matters? Hell our third string players could beat both of them.

Hell our third string players could beat both of them.Doubtful since your first string could barely handle the Bucs and couldnt handle Miami and barely handled Arizona. And Green Bay and Detroit are worlds apart, and are both deep rivalry games. How long have you been watching those two teams play eachother and you can still act like a GB/CHI game doesnt matter? Or are you just covering because you think they might suck it up again.

Kicking those cheeseheaded fucks ass is always great, but now we are headed for the Superbowl so I could really care less, although Urlacher bustin Farves skull one last time would be great. I would rather see them loss a game and rest up the players for the playoff then beat up on some bottom feeders and take a chance on lossing someone important.

chalk that up with beating a shitty team in the last seconds of the 4rth quarter. Gonna need to play better if you boys plan on doing anything in the play offs.

Its was pretty much the bears 2nd string that played today. They have already clinched a 1st round bye and home field advantage, todays game meant absolutely nothing to the bears. Next week, same thing.

Seriously, Why is it that such a great team has so much trouble with bottom feeder teams and then brag about it like beating the Lions was an amazing defeat or like barely beating the Bucs, or like struggling and then beating the Cardinals?
Rex Grossman is NOT a superbowl caliber QB.

In fuckin Green Bay the fuckin town shuts down on Sundays when the Packers play, so what are you talking about?
That's the point Mark, Chicago isn't some 100,000 person paper mill town that gets it's identity from a sports franchise....it's a major cultural center of the world. It just seems that too much of the pride Chicagoans wrap up in the city has to do with sports...which are minor to the culture of the city.

Their are 7 days in a week, 6 for culture and Sunday(sometimes Monday) for the Bears.

Haaaaaaahahahahahahaha oh my god. The Bears just played at a high school level. Rex left the game with a rating of 0.0 :rofl:Greasy didnt do much better. Bears defense? Where was that? And you all know they played starters so thats not an excuse. If that was Favres last game, it was a good one, because the Bears got fucking OWNED.
