Guy was alright but this season needs sorting out quick...
New Icelandic owners not afraid to get stuck in...
Gotta be Alan Curbishley ain't it...?
If its Sven thats it for me...fucking waste of space...
Just trying to get some association football into the sports section...!

The guy did well last season, West Ham just got out of the second league and finished 9th, they got to the FA cup finals and qualified for the UEFA cup. Well good position and achievements for a club that was in the championship the previous season. But this year its been a fucking nightmare, getting eliminated by palermo from the UEFA cup then all the losses in the premiership. The only memorable moment of the season was the win over arsenal, but only because it was a win. Neither clubs played good that game and West Ham only won because of a fuck up on arsenal's part.
I hope they get someone real good at West Ham. The club deserves to do better, I've always had a liking for West Ham and it's a shame that they've been doing bad lately. Hopefully these new owners from Iceland will be able to afford some of the essentials for the club, and avoid selling academy players because of financial trouble.
So Jay, why don't you want Sven Eriksson as manager? All the gooners I know talk about him as though he's the best choice.

Svens record in club football is good.
But the England job has clouded all our minds over here I think...
The guy has absolutely no spirit or ability to get behind the players.
At the World Cup in Japan/S Korea in the quarter final against Brazil after leading then going behind one England player said what he needed at half-time from Sven in the dressing room was a speech in the Winston Churchill school of motivation....all we got was John Major...!
If Pardew can't motivate this shower at West Ham now what hope does Sven have..?
Last year we were a bit lucky...a lot of the players..Reo Coker, Ferdinand, Zamora...are still living off last year and need to start playing again and its up to the manager to sort that out...but he doesn't seem to be able to...
As for Arsenal fans...they are a team and supporters like no other...
Very quiet fans...hence Highbury being known as The Library...and a very cultured manager.....Sven would fit right in...

Yeah, I've heard some complaints about Sven, that he's emotionless and what not.
Who do you want managing West Ham?
I don't know much about football managers to tell you the truth. I like Jose Mourinho though. Look at him on the sidelines and he's always yelling and stressing and what not. Unlike that old fart ferguson. And the little celebration lawn mower thing he did when Essien equalized against Arsenal the other night. Amazing, he looked like a retard but shit it made me laugh.
Whoever comes over to West Ham, I hope they're well good. Get them up to the upper half of the table for the next few seasons. I'm sure the academy will pump out some class players in that time, and West Ham will be hands down the most respectful club in big-league football. I always respected West Ham for how they're a self made club, unlike the other big name clubs in the world who are all just big-buisnesses and buy all their man power. But... that's all wishful thinking...

It will be Alan Curbishley..
Former West Ham Academy boy, born round the corner and says he'd take it if offered....
Most of the fans will be happy....
Former players are always preferable, something Pardew found out as the years went by...
Sounds ridiculous but most West Ham fans would prefer Curbishley whos won nothing than someone like Marcello Lippi/ Sven who have won everything...weird...
Somebody is going to have a lot of Icelandic money to spend in a fortnight though..
Chelsea are eight points behind now with a game in hand tomorrow....
Its a lot to make up and makes for an interesting season for a change..

I think it has to do with West Ham fans not being glory hunters. manure and arse-anal, and yes, now Chelsea are so well 'supported' because they win.
As for the 8-point gap? It's going to be 5 points tommorrow. The draw with arse-anal could've cost Chelsea the premiership but... there's still a chance... Chelsea are playing shit this season compared to the last two... scoring hardly any goals and the losses to tottenham and middlesbrough are just fucking ridiculous... I understand if we lost to manure and arse-anal but not the yids and middlesbrough... drawing with villa was also unnecessary and Sunday's game could've been won...
All we got to hope for is manure fucking up. They won't beat arse-anal in London, they won't beat Liverpool at Anfield because Liverpool always plays better in the second half of the season and there's not a fucking chance they'll beat Chelsea at Stamford bridge. Manure fucked up bad by letting Chelsea draw at old trafford. They could've won in the first half easily. Chelsea however are also in an inconvenient position playing Liverpool and arse-anal away...
Too bad it ain't a two horse race with Liverpool. There's no shame in losing the premiership to them, and they really deserve atleast one premiership title after all their pre-premiership successes. But really... anybody except arse-anal and manure... fucking hate those two clubs...
But then again, if Chelsea lose, alot of the glory hunters that support them will start supporting manure next season. That'll hopefully drop ticket prices for my possible move to London.

So Jay, you were right. It's Curbishley. I was reading his record and he managed Charlton pretty damn well and they've finished in a few decent positions over the years. He seems good enough to avoid relegation, and hopefully next season West Ham will be back in the UEFA cup.

I'll be happy if we just stay up though....I think he's going to have about £30/$55 million to spend, so we'll see....

Pardew wasn't well liked amongst the backroom staff. A lot of the lads I know at Upton Park held an impromptu party to celebrate his going, they did the same for the old MD that got the tin tack as well. The Icelandic geezer knows his football though and Curbs is a good managerial signing. Whether he can save the Hammers season comes down to who he can fool into signing for a team that everyone thinks will be relegated. Money is the answer as always.
