Ok we all know im addicted to eBay...Well back in MAY I won an auction of a REAL Alpha BURGUNDY flight sz small( RARE!RARE!RARE! It wes a great price too).
I paid seller..............NOTHING..........No jacket,no answer to emails and the person is still selling.
I ,of course,hit up ebay and PayPal.......he wont answer them either.
I continue to badger the guy 'cause I want the jacket.
He FINALLY answers PayPal and says he sent the coat(which NEVER happened! I never got it and I paid for Insurance) so I cant get a refund(although they dont give me a shipping #).


I email one last time and say "Look I still want the jacket...lets work this out.I'll give you 48 hours.If you dont answer me youre getting neg feedback"...48 hours and nothing so I leave a neg!
Well just this week(right before the cut off) he leaves me neg saying I didnt pay(I have PROOF I did) and now sends me a letter saying hes sueing me unless I remove the negative feedback...........
WHAT THE FUCK????????????
I just checked my mail and I supposedly have a letter from his Lawyer saying I will be sued for harrassment,defamation etc etc...........
UNBELIVABLE!

I told him go ahead and sue as I have proof he got payment...but WTF?

My wife had a bad experience awhile back. Ordered something, kept getting put off by the seller, bad feedbacks exchanged, and ebay wouldn't remove her bad mark even though she did nothing wrong, that sort of thing. She got her money back from paypal, but they kept 25 bucks of it as a service fee. Big time rip off. ebay is just too damn big to really care about individuals getting the shaft anymore.

Its good that you have nothing to worry about though. Even if he does "sue" you, like you said you have proof of payment, so really all you would need is a statement from paypal re-assuring that the payment went through and that your receipt that you can print out is valid in a court of law. You show that and your golden. Now you could really play this fag out and counter sue for the vaule of merchandise. Chances are that unless you counter sue the judge will just throw the thing out and neither of you will get anything. Except that he will still get the money you paid in the first place.


I say run this bastard though the mill, but you wont need a lawyer as this could be setteled in small claims.

I've only ever had one bad experience with ebay but not this bad. More of person buying something of mine disappeared without a trace but it was fine cause I didn't lose anything.

Wow! That sucks! I'm also a tad bit addicted to ebay, but I'm always leery of giving negative feedback ever since I seen a story on the news of someone who drove out of state to the house of someone who left negative feedback and shot him! People are nuts!

I recently had a MySpace group I moderated deleted because a girl who posted trolling for naked pics of the members didn't like what some people (myself included) had to say in response to her thread. She wrote me a big long message threatening to sue me for libel (comepletely baseless... would never have held water), and when I wrote her back telling her the reasons why she had no grounds for a suit and to quit harassing me, she whined to MySpace and got the group shut down.

Its not even that the group is gone (fuck it. its MySpace), its that some schmuck who cant handle the heat after she does something stupid (and shes one of those "skinhead girls" that puts half her hair up in a bandana to look like she has a fringe) actually would file a lawsuit over comments made to her that were repercussions of her own actions.

Not only would I not remove the negitive feed back, I would post the email where he threatened to sue you about it along with your proof of payment.

Then I would post his info on here, chances are if he's in the scene or even on the fringes of the scene, someone knows who he is and can 'suggest' that he make good on his sale.

Have you filed complaints with PayPal & ebay? Proper complaint forms, not just e-mails to them? If not, you need to immediately file the complaint with PayPal. File with ebay 2nd.

Yeah I've had a bit of a rough time with eBay users as well lately. I auctioned off this NFL jersey to someone out in CA. Then after the auction ended I sent the guy/gal a invoice requesting payment within 7 day upon which I would send the item. Well 7 days goes by before too long and I've not yet received payment or any contact whatsoever. So I figure I'll send 'em another invoice and hopefully they'll respond right quick, as you can see the way it's been going of course not. So I decided to e-mail the user one last time letting them know the last course of action I would like to take is to leave negative feedback and that if they were to pay up within the next week only positive feedback would be left. Well to cut this short I slapped the fucker with some negative and don't plan on selling much else on there for a long while.

On top of all my eBay trouble as of late, wouldn’t you know I receive a letter from my bank account letting me know that $30.00 has been overdrawn from my one account. So naturally I’m a bit ticked about it since I haven’t used my debt card to purchase anything in the past few months, so I figured I would check my online banking web site to inquire who had done the unauthorized withdraw from my account and what do you know it was done by those fucks over at paypal. I lodged a formal complaint through they’re dispute control center and I’m awaiting to hear back from them, hopefully it will be prompt but something tells me I’ve been taken for a ride.
