Two men associated with a white supremacy organization pleaded guilty on Monday to charges they assaulted two men last year at a New Stanton bar. In exchange for their pleas, Westmoreland County prosecutors withdrew attempted murder charges against Edward Robert Locke, 35, of West Mifflin, Allegheny County, and Todd Clair Sager, 30, of New Stanton. The plea deals came about after both defendants, their lawyers and prosecutors huddled together for most of the day after a ruling by Westmoreland County Judge Richard E. McCormick Jr. that allowed evidence of Locke and Sager's being referred to as members of a "skinhead" organization. Authorities contend that Sager is a regional leader of an organization known as the Keystone State Skinheads and that Locke was a member of the same group.
