what is popping up? It isn't windows - must be something else monitoring it - and that should be configurable ---go to my computer, right click C drive and go to properties and give us the numbers so we have more of a clue of your disk space...

As an aside, I had problems with storage and got one of these. (http://www.storagedepot.co.uk/Products.aspx?action=showproduct&id=52&type=30)
All I do is dump all the music, photos etc on that.

Ya, that will work - I'm guessing the word off to the side of 1175552 is bytes - and that would be 1.12109375MB - so 1.12mb is NOTHING - you are out of Hard drive space for sure.
You need to find all your pictures or word documents and zip them up or move them to CD and delete them from the C drive - if you have another drive, just moving shit off your C Drive will help a lot. You are running dangerously low on hard drive space.

clear all your temporary internet files, reboot, and cross your fingers

Do that and also empty the recycle bin before you reboot. :)

tried all this, it doesnt delte the stuff from the c/ drive space wise, even though i remove it and but it in recycle bin, it still says my c is full
PapaSkin

odd - have you tried to dump the recycle bin first? You may have to boot up into safe mode (while it's booting back up hit f8 alot) and then delete some things that way - empty recycle bin etc while in safe mode.

ya, remember the recycle bin is still on "The C drive" - so you have to empty it to free up the space!!

you're going to have to go a site that can do HiJackThis log analysis - b/c the trojan you got is probably only part of the virus/spyware/malware you have - you've got a long road ahead of you from what I've just been reading.
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/Loads_of_spyware_and_problems_at_start_up-t59293.html
http://forums.techguy.org/security/384030-browser-redirect-hijack.html
None of these even address you not being able to delete things from your hard drive - that's jacked up...something is wrong and more than what a bunch of Skinheads can easily fix ... Seek Help! :)

Ahh common problem. XP has a preset to use a large amount of Virtual Memory sometimes and has the rights to adjust this "memory" allowance when it wants to accomidate for how many services you are running vs. program usuage depending on importance. Basically you have a set amount of RAM in your computer when you buy it, for instance 512RAM. The computer however uses more than this amount when you run multiple programs or services, so windows and other OS have what they call Virtual Memory, this in turn allows windows to allocate Hard Drive space in order to compensate for over usage on RAM.
To fix this you need to not only do what most people have stated above such as delete any unnecesary files from your hard drive but also change the amount of Virtual Mem. that your comp allows.
Also, when you delete DO NOT delete large amounts of files at the same time as you will not be able to do it.
Then once through you will need to Defrag/scandisk the hard drive so that windows can get rid of the garbage in its index.
How to change the VM is on the link below:
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/sysdm_advancd_perform_change_vmpagefile.mspx?mfr=t rue
Hope this helps.
