South Korea has a vicious Internet community. Because the country is so small and everyone's online and it's easy to find their personal details, if your name hits the news someone will find you. This can be very bad if you're in the news for the wrong reasons. All it takes is a face and they'll find the person. In this instance, we have a face and a licence plate number (not shown).

The story behind this is that a guy witnessed this creepy old dude waiting for schoolgirls in front of a high school. The guy did it several times, so he took some pictures. When he showed them to the police, they told him "We can't arrest him unless we catch him in the act." It's also been pointed out, though you can't see them in these photos, that the pervert's car has a child car seat in it, so he's a father.

Hopefully the people of the Korean Internet are going to track this guy down and teach him a little lesson. If the pictures go down, I've copied them so they can be rehosted; chances are the government will try to ban them soon.

This also makes them a popular item for hiding your face when you're doing something illegal, because if you get rolled up and searched by the cops, an item like this isn't going to necessarily raise eyebrows, and if you toss one in a public wastebin after the crime, chances are there're already a fair few others in there if it's near a train or subway station.

Not quite, I was reading on the investigation. The detective nearly gone mad. They DID have him, he was previously arrested for groping girls in a school he was teaching but since he was a party member he was just denied from working with kids again.
Later when he started murdering they held him suspect, and the fact he had a pretty huge collection of knives, but his blood type didn't match the semen type (semen was found A while his blood is AB) and since there were no DNA tests back in the day, he was set free.
