Cod Fishing

I went on my first cod trip friday night. I went on my last cod trip friday night. Don't me wrong, I love fishing and made my limit with these 10-13 lb cods and one ugly ass eel that a korean guy happilly took off my hands. Leaving at 3am out of Montauk Point and going about and hour north of Block Island. The wind was brutal and bitter. It was cold..As exciting as it is to reel in a lunker it just wasn't that much fun....

Hope you put that back. There's about 3 fucking cod left in the sea.


Only ever caught a codling. You want something that fights better than cod and tastes better go for ling. You'll usually find them in deep water around wrecks.
