Looking to get a punk/oi band together here in Seattle. A good punk buddy of mine sings and is pretty good actually. We both have some experience gigging and playing shows with previous bands. We need to meet a drummer who actually wants to play some music. Our plan is to write all new original material with whoever we get to play drums. That way, the songs are all of ours and the music can draw from everyone's influences. We both are into pretty much the same shit... old school hardcore/punk/oi and that's what we want to play. I've tried posting on craigslist but most drummers I talked to around here are wanting to play more emo kind of shit, which I'm really not into. I've been playing bass off and on for 10 years. I'm no superstar bassist, but I'm decent enough. I am also available to join any other existing band in the Seattle area.
I rent a basement in Seattle and we can practice here. The upstairs neighbors don't give a shit and are totally cool with loud music.
