Variety Playhouse is a terrible venue for this. We are really running out of places to have shows these days.

They'll be at the Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill on the 26th. As much as I'd love to go I can't justify the $16 ticket price. With a baby on the way we've really gotta tighten those purse strings. If all of you in the ATL go please take plenty of pics!

That's what sucks about it too. Chuck has work early the next day and I have a bathroom to redo. It's damn near impossible for us to do weeknight shows anymore. Gone are the days of just hopping in the car whenever and going to a show. Didn't matter if it was a weeknight and you'd got to work the next day on little or no sleep. These days everything has to be planned out, from what time we need to leave to get to the venue, how much money we can spend and whether we can stay for the whole show. Being an adult just plain sucks sometimes.

That's the beauty of having the in-laws only 20 minutes away. They are both retired and I couldn't ask for two better people to be my child's grandparents. Grandma-to be has already said we can bring baby over anytime we need a break.

I'm hung over and my feet are killin me from dancing so much in Grinders. But yeah, I had a blast . . . wish she would have come back out for the encore.

They played a bunch of really good songs; but quite a few boring ass songs too . . . I wish it had been the Specials and Selector (w/ members of English Beat as special guests) instead of the other way around.
