Minihoon update

[Tokyohoon]

OK, to get everyone up to speed:

He had his heart surgery July 7th, and the latest word from the docs is that his heart is completely sound, the aorta appears to be expanding, and the hypertension in the lungs is done.

He IS still in hospital because the incision got infected with antibiotic resistant staph, but the infection appears to be pretty much licked. Today they are reopening the incision and removing the interior stitches and any tissue that looks to have bacteria remnants in it to avoid any recurrence.

In other news, every time a nurse puts a stethoscope on his chest, he hugs her hand with both arms, and if it's one of his favourite nurses, gets her arm with his legs for good measure. Nurses are visiting the little rascal from other wards - seriously! Mrs. Hoon is actually complaining that she can'T get a nap in because of the stream of visiting nurses.

With any luck, kiddo will be home next week. Good thing, 'cause I'm eating entirely too well (think guy foods) when left to my own devices.

And in other news, the docs cleaned out the incision, found nothing unusual, and are now saying if nothing ELSE crops up, he'll be home next week.

It depends on where it was made. L for US, I would guess XL for Japan or China. I dont know because Ive never owned one that wasnt US made. I tried an L in Okayama and it was way too small. I got rid of my old one last spring cuz well lets just say it was time.
