Whats the worst album that you guys have ever bought?

about 6 years ago, i decided to buy the Sid Vicious album....you guys know what i'm talking about...........wow, talk about the the most god awful songs that any band could have ever make.

Gehennah - Hardrocker (not to be confused with the awesome Norwegian black/death metal band)...I basically just bought it for the cover, it has a rocker passed out on the concrete with a big puddle of vomit beside his head

I probably have that same Sid Vicious album if it's the one with all live tracks and Sid & Nancy on the cover

probably the same album...i think he only made one. Basically they just made like 50 "different" albums but with the same songs...and a different cover on all of them.

Hell, I love the X-Rated box set. The worst box set I have is the British Reggae one.

Worst album of all time that I have would have to be something involving grindcore. Then again, it's supposed to be awful.

I wonder if Roddy owns a BRE album. I kinda think he has a huge secret wp record collection since he has an obsession with that side of the fence. I don't doubt it. I'm sure you've seen the quote on the back cover of the All Skrewed Up album before. http://www.geocities.com/kleprek/b9.JPG
I've heard acouple people say something about that record collection before. It would make sense since Ian Stuart was a skinhead back in the early 70s prior to becoming a punk. I've read and heard several interviews of him saying he was a skinhead back then. I've even heard about how reggae records were played between sets during early Skrewdriver concerts.

I heard that too...
The thing about early Skrewdriver concerts was that during early '77 and so on there wasn't any punk records really so the DJs in these punk venues would just play the only records they had...reggae, dub, ska etc...so yeah its probably right...

Some of the worst CDs I've bought within the last couple of years (I don't have a good enough memory to try and figure out the boundless piles of crap that have come and gone in my music collection beyond that):
Slaughter and the Dogs - Shocking (this was released in 91 and is pure crap from start to finish)

The Trojan Suedehead Box set and the Skinhead Reggae box set (both of these have about 4 or 5 decent tracks and the rest are shit)

UNCUT tribute to the Clash (this isn't so bad because it was free with the magazine, but all the songs are absolutly horrible)

Dropkick Murphys -Blackout (Maybe two songs are worth a listen and the rest is mall rock bullshit. I haven't heard Warrior's Code, but if its half as bad as Blackout, I'm not going to bother)

Fear City (Just kidding, I play the hell out of it in my car's CD player:biggrin:)

Or

I didn't actually buy this album so its not as painful, but i put a band called Set Your Goals up at my house not long back when they played the uk,they are meant to be hardcore? i didn't go to their gig cos i was busy with family stuff, but my housemate loves them and let them in etc.

They gave me a cd and t-shirt for letting them stay,i played the cd and was so disgusted i nearly died,it sounded like radio friendly pop punk but even more sugary! and this is from a band who take their name from a CIV song.

"its gunna be a nazi nightmare" makes me fucking cringe. nice way to fuck one of the only good sham 69 songs there was fuckwits. that album is what happens when you get old and run out of anything at all to say. we get it roddy you arent a nazi... we get it..

sure the album is technically better than older oppressed but it lacks integrity, heart, enthusiasm, and anything else that makes music remotely interesting. roddy sounded even more bored playing it than i was listening to it.

as for Roddy listening to bre, man i fucking hope not. i feel kinda violated now... ha ha ha

i'd prefer the origional Newtown Nuerotics version if they didnt break out into half an hour of tacky white man reggae. fuck that bit is terrible. but i think their version is way better than the oppressed so why bother doing it (since it wasnt even really played in a distinct style outside of the origional). that oppressed album is just sooo fucking bad man. i've had some bad albums, but this one just clicks into my head. i dont think the nazis themselves could have put the word nazi more often into an album. time to move on.

i never liked em since al barr became the singer. i loved the bruisers and i really really dug the early DKM stuff, but once they joined forces the end result just rubbed me up the wrong way ( i know its probably just me but eh) i think the band itself should have been so much better but it just got real boring. they played well, and ethusiastically, but the songs are just so damn boring.

Some crappy power metal bunch called Predator on Roadrunner back in '84/85. That was pure shit! Maybe some of the Misfits bootlegs of live gigs that always cost a fortune and sound like a tin full of broken glass and scrap metal fallin' down some concrete stairs......

Recent disapointments have to be Vision Of Disorder's first cd. I got it cheap and boy was I robbed! Most Precious Blood who stink like I don't know what. Still Remains who shoulda ben aborted... I bought 'em to dj with and wish I'd burned 'em instead......

I can't believe for one second that you'd be surprused by that revalation????
I mean, Billy Idol in record that sucks shocker???? It's just unthinkable aint it........

I kid of course!

Stoney

I wasn't really expecting it to be good. It was cheap! I liked Generation X quite a bit (ducks for barrage of tomatoes and used condoms) and some of Idol's more mainstream stuff is ok, so I thought "what the hell, I'll try it."

Although I voted earlier for the Sid Vicious live album hands down, I have two more to throw in:

Best wishes by Cro Mags. Compared to the great Age Of....this blew.

"Cold Lake" Celtic Frost........glam from the Dethroned Emperor? Ughhh.......

An old French Canadian mental case who claims to sing in all languages and that God tells him what to sing. Back when I bought the album, it was hilarious because it was so fucking bad.

'Music For Hooligans' is the dodgy comp and 'We Can Do Anything' is the 'straight' covers CD.

Gotta say, I don't mind Oi! Oi! Music despite the shitty production. Haven't played it for ages but, if I remember, there's only street politicals. No party shit.
