One of the prime suspects in a 2005 baseball-bat beating in Davis was arrested in Montana earlier this month after he eluded authorities for nearly two years. Michael Allen Rose, 27, was flown on Saturday from Butte, Mont., to Yolo County, where he is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on numerous felony charges including attempted murder, aggravated mayhem and assault with a deadly weapon. Davis police say Rose was one of the main aggressors in the April 5, 2005, beating, which left a 26-year-old man with disfiguring injuries after he was attacked with a wooden baseball bat inside his J Street apartment.
