The coup of the world class transfers of Tevez and Mascherano yesterday to West Ham seemed a dream come true but reading various websites and listening to the radio and reading the papers I'm not so sure....now 'preliminary discussions' about a takeover from the stock exchange in London...
Iranian multi millionaire from a failed takeover bid a year ago thought to be behind it...with friends of Abramhovich-type support.....do we want that Russian Mafia shit at Upton Park....?
Good or bad thing...?

About time the Hammers were dragged into the 21st century! Not sure this is the right route though.

Much more interesting is the 'ownership' of the 2 Argies brought in yesterday. I firmly believe that they are the property of a consortium (possibly even the sports media company that brokered the deal).

Expect to see more and more players being 'owned' by corporations and investment companies (a bit like 'Lloyds Names'). The 'owners' hedge their investment against the players future value, transfer moves and part of the players media rights/advertising etc. I also predict a mini footballers stock exchnage with shares in players being bought and sold. All future stuff, but this is the beginning of it mark my words.
