...some of us minnows join the oldest cup competition in the world tomorrow in the Prelim Rd 1 (the second round of the cup). I've treated the players to a luxury coach with air con, loo, hot/cold drinks dispensers and dvd screens. There's 2 cases of beer ready to load on to it in the morning before we set off - for celebratory consumption on the way home - no win, no beer for the bastards! And I've got my lucky pants ironed and ready to wear. We better fucking win!

The magic of the cup has started.

FA Cup results from Saturday. Yes we got through and nicked the prize money. Typical blood and guts FA Cup tie. I got interviewed by a national as well!

Conference North and South teams enter next round, draw today at 1pm. I'll be glued to the telephone draw hotline.

Another 44 join in the next round, then 22 and thereafter it's the big players who enter the comp. In all 687 clubs were accepted for entry to The FA Cup this year.

Bit of a poxy windowless bar lets it down a bit.

Tomorrow week we're off to thug city for our next Cup game. Last time we played them 5 years ago the riot squad had to be called, shields, batons, dogs, helicopter overhead, the works. I'm looking forward to it.

Yeaahhhhhhhhhhhh. We won our 2nd Qual Rd away this afternoon. Roll on the draw on Monday for the next round. £3,750.00 prize money pocketed as well as half the gate. Yoohoo, indian takeaway for me and the Mrs tonight then!

Welling are playing tomorrow (Tuesday night) in the FA Cup 2nd Qual replay against Folkestone. I have a comp so I'm going.

Just back from the 'San Siro'. 3-1 to The Wings. Perhaps the scoreline flattered Welling a bit, Ben Lewis looked a bit out of sorts at centre half, the 9 is the only goalscorer Welling have got by the looks of it, 10 very fast and a couple of old players I know and not seen for a while have put on a few pounds (Chris Moore the obvious one).

Saw a top Hammers 'face' from the past there as well!

The bar is still dark and dingy and the John Smiths hideous. Although it didn't stop me downing a few.

The restaurant is fully booked, the beer kegs are cramming the cellar to the rafters, the young serving wenches have their tight bar tops and short skirts pressed and ready to flash a bit of flesh. Now we just need the punters to flood in at noon tomorrow and for the team to be in the hat for the next round draw by 5pm.

We had a goodun' apart from the result! Made a few shillings along the way, but gone we are----'till next season.
