  5. A Gray Morning's Mission

    It's very cold out.

    The wind is cutting right through my sweater. Wool don't mean much on a day like today. I'm glad it stopped raining at least, before I began this particular journey. The slick streets and the gray wash that bruised clouds have left seem to have robbed the street life of downtown Los Angeles of any color it might have had left.
